Based on the books Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena and The Snowden Files by Luke Harding, we see the transition Edward Snowden experiences as he makes the change from Army enlistee to CIA employee. But, when he discovers that the NSA was spying on the American public, he couldn't stay silent... and risked everything.
