It Gets Worse, #LilWayne is Now Suing #Birdman & Cash Money for $51 Million #IntheNews

This YMCMB collapse has gone from bad to worse at a crazy fast pace. Just little over a week after releasing his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape, which in summary was just a diss tape to Birdman, Weezy is now gearing up for legal action.

Previously, Wayne claimed he was owed an $8 million advance for recording Tha Carter V, but now details have surfaced that he was to receive $2 million upon completion.  He has yet to receive any of that money.

Details from the lawsuit reveal that Wayne wants out of his Cash Money contract and he wants to take his Young Money imprint that he built with him which would include artists like Drake and Nicki Minaj.

How the mighty have fallen, I would’ve never thought this would be how Young Money / Cash Money would end up especially since it’s home to two of Hip Hop’s biggest acts. It’s not surprising though, Birdman has a long history of this happening for over a decade with the likes of BG, Many Fresh and of course Juvenile.

Never thought it would happen to the franchise player though.

DJ Premier Closes Legendary D&D Studios

Legendary NYC recording studio D&D Studios, owned by DJ Premier, closed its doors this week... for good.

The producer made the announcement on Instagram, posting a photo of fellow rap legend Showbiz packing up boxes. "Showbiz packin up," the caption reads. "He's the one that brought me to D & D to lay scratches for Lord Finesse on a REMIX called 'Return Of The Funky Man'. Eddie Sancho did the mix and I never left from that day. CIRCA1992... #DaveAndDoug #premierwuzhere The Closing Of D & D Studios"

Located on 37th Street in New York City's Garment District, D&D Studios is being closed down to make room for luxury apartments in the building it was housed in.

Premier purchased the studio in 2002, following the death of its former owner HeadQCourterz, but has worked there since the early '90s. Over the years, a number of rap stars have worked at the legendary studio, including Jay Z, Big Pun, Snoop Dogg, Big L, Slaughterhouse and Dilated Peoples, among others. Premier also recorded a majority of his work with Guru, as GangStarr, at the location.

Albums such as Nas' Illmatic and The Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready To Die were also recorded there.

Thanks to Apple's acquisition of his Beats Electronics, Dr. Dre had a big payday in 2014.

According to a list by Sky Range, dubbed "Highest Paid Music Stars In 2014", the hip-hop legend made a staggering $20 per second throughout 2014.

Dre reported brought in $620 million in 2014 (before taxes).

The list used data from Forbes to calculate just how much musicians made per second in the calendar year.

Dre was the leader by a mile, but others on the list included Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Drake, among others.

Here's the breakdown: Taylor Swift ($2.03 per second), Justin Bieber ($2.54 per second), Beyonce ($3.65 per second), Rihanna ($1.52 per second), Jay Z ($1.90 per second), Diddy ($1.90 per second) and Drake ($1.05 per second).

Rapper Rick Ross got a tattoo of his beloved Miami Heat on his face.

The heavily inked 38-year-old rapper, who was rasied in Carol City, near Miami, got the team's flaming basketball logo inked on his right temple at Unroyal Ink in New Jersey, Vibe reports.

The new tat was one of several the prison-guard-turned-rap-mogul got at the Farmingdale shop earlier this week.

Another was a small interlocking "DC," which is the logo for his friend and fellow rapper Meek Mill's record company, Dreamchasers.

Nets’ #DeronWilliams Out Indefinitely With Cracked Rib :::: #NBA

Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams is out indefinitely with has a fractured rib, the team announced Thursday (Jan. 8).

The 30-year-old guard, who's been riddled with injuries over the last few seasons, underwent an MRI this week, which revealed a fracture in the left 12th rib. In a statement, the Nets said: "There is no timetable for his return."

Williams suffered the rib injury Sunday (Jan. 4) in Miami and missed Monday night's loss to Dallas. He would return for the Nets' Wednesday night loss to Boston, but aggravated the injury after playing just four minutes and had to come out of the game.

Crunchy Black Wanted For Beating Up Fiancee :::: #InTheNews

Crunchy Black, best known as a former member of Three 6 Mafia, is reportedly wanted by authorities following alleged assault on his fiancee last year.

 a warrant has been issued for the the rapper (real name: Darnell Carlton) after he failed to show for a court date in November.

Crunchy was arrested in March 2014 for allegedly assaulting his fiancée inside a hotel room in Minnesota, where he was also found in possession of cocaine. He was ultimately charged with two counts of domestic assault and one count of drug possession.

He's now a wanted man in Minnesota.

His fiancee tells TMZ that the rapper never attacked, but instead, claims two other men caused her injuries, but fled before cops arrived.

Crunchy Black left Three 6 Mafia in 2006, but has since joined an spin-off group called Da Mafia 6iX, alongside DJ Paul, Koopsta Knicca and the late Lord Infamous.

Delano South Beach rang in 2015 with lavish style Wednesday evening at their poolside oasis Delano Beach Club where Roc Nation artist J. Cole took to the stage and graced the crowd with an epic midnight performance featuring hits “Work Out” and “Power Trip.” Taraji Henson was spotted with her posse of girls, snapping selfies in their cabana. Cleveland Brown’s quarterback Johnny Manziel was also in attendance sipping champagne with New York Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz and teammate Kevin Ogletree.
Following the Poolside soiree, the event headed downstairs to Delano’s subterranean lounge FDR where J. Cole hosted an eventful, sold-out after party. R&B star Ne-Yo made quite an entrance, walking in with a massive entourage and later spotted in the crowd taking photos with revelers. Miami HEAT b-ballers Mario Chalmers and Luol Deng we’re also in attendance to help kick the New Year off with a bang at Delano South Beach. YesJulz was also in attendance.
