Detroit Pistons' Ben Wallace Arrested On DUI, Weapons Charges

Veteran Detroit Pistons center, Ben Wallace, was arrested early Thursday morning (September 29) in a Detroit suburb on drunk driving and weapons charges.
According to the Associated Press, the 37-year-old NBA player was arrested at around 3 a.m. in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, after observed a Cadillac Escalade being driven erratically.
Following the stop, police conducted a field sobriety test, and also found an unloaded pistol in his backpack.
Police say Wallace was given a blood-alcohol test and he was above Michigan's legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Further details were unknown at press time.
Wallace was arraigned and released on a $5,000 personal bond. He is due back in court on Monday (October 3).
Wallace was undrafted and signed as a rookie to the Washington Bullets in 1996. He helped the Pistons win the 2004 NBA championship, and is a four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

Bank Of America Ain’t Isht: Customers To Be Slapped With A $5 Monthly Debit Card Fee Starting In 2012

bank of america debit card
Get ready for a new wave of bank fees. Bank of America will begin charging a $5 monthly fee at the beginning of next year for customers who make debit card purchases. Whether you use your card for one purchase a month or 20, you will pay $5 per month starting in 2012. If you don’t use your card at all, you won’t be assessed a fee. And you can still use ATMs as much as you want without getting hit with the new fee. Other banks have been flirting with the idea of introducing a fee for debit card usage, but Bank of America (BAC, Fortune 500) is one of the first major institutions to announce that it will make this a reality for all active debit card customers.
The move coincides with the implementation of new rules limiting the revenue banks will be able to get from merchants. Beginning this weekend, a cap on the fees banks can charge retailers every time customers swipe their debit cards will take effect.

T.I. Freed From Atlanta Halfway House

T.I. is finally, finally a free man.
The rap star was released from an Atlanta halfway house on Thursday (September 29), just after midnight, after serving 10 months behind bars on a probation violation.
TIP was spotted by TMZ cameras as he left the facility. Unlike his August 31st release from prison, there was no fanfaire, no tour bus, and/or documentary cameras. He hopped in a chauffeur-driven SUV, chucked up a deuce to cameras and sped off.
He is set to celebrate his recent birthday and prison release with a private brunch for family, friends, and industry peers on Sunday (October 2) in Atlanta, during the BET Hip-Hop Awards weekend.
TIP is also expected to attend the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Saturday (October 1).
In late 2010, the rapper was arrested on drug charges in Los Angeles. Although he did not have to face the charges,  he was found in violation of his probation, for previous weapons charges, which he put him behind bars most of 2009. TIP was ordered to serve 11-months.
TIP was originally transferred to a halfway house August 31 to finish out the last month of his sentence, but he was quickly taken back into federal custody. Officials were upset T.I. traveled with a TV producer and manager to the halfway house, accusing him of violating prison rules because business was discussed during the journey to Atlanta. However, he was sent back to the halfway house September 15 ... and is finally free.
Welcome home TIP!

Marlins in Miami? (Pics and Video)

The other day I heard Michael Kay the Yankee announcer say that next year the Florida Marlins will be getting a new ballpark in Miami and moving there. This means they will become the Miami Marlins. First of all, the Miami Marlins is an extremely dorky name. Second, that would mean they’d have to change their logo. The problem is, their current logo is probably the coolest one in the National League.
How many other hats have fish swirling around the letters? So if they become the Miami Marlins, what will their new logo be?
That. Don’t get me wrong, that is an equally neat logo. But does that mean in ten years the current Marlins logo will be worn on a hat with a “throwback uniform?” That new logo could be used now for the M standing for Marlins instead of Florida! The Marlins organization should really start thinking about the distant future and it’s throwback uniforms. But this is my question: will they change their current uniforms for next year? That should be interesting to see.

Petey Pablo Sentenced to 35 Months Federal Time On Gun Charge

Petey Pablo has been sentenced to spend 35 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing a stolen firearm and bringing it through a North Carolina airport.
Pablo appeared in a NC courtroom yesterday and pleaded guilty on the charges that were stemming from a September 11, 2010 arrest in the Raleigh Durham Airport after airport security found a pistol in his carry-on luggage when it went through an X-ray machine at the security checkpoint.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the gun was stolen in a home burglary in Gardena, CA in 2005.
Although Pablo has been sentenced, no information on when he has to check into prison has been revealed.

Prosecutors Use MJ Death Photo In Opening Statements For Dr. Conrad Murray Trial

michael jackson court photo
The prosecution sent a powerful message to the jury hearing Dr. Conrad Murray’s manslaughter case in the death of the King of Pop. They projected a photo of Michael Jackson’s lifeless body with what looks like tape over his face.
The manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson’s personal doctor began Tuesday with a shocking photo of the singer’s dead body and an eerie recording his voice slurring through a purported propofol haze.
The prosecution picture projected in the courtroom showed Jackson’s lifeless body on a hospital gurney under the powerful heading “Homicide.”
The almost incoherent recording, also presented by prosecutors, was retrieved from defendant Dr. Conrad Murray’s iPhone with a time stamp of May 10, 2009 – about a month before Jackson died from an overdose of the surgery-strength anesthetic propofol on June 25.
“When people leave this show, when people leave my show, I want them to say, ‘I’ve never seen nothing like this in my life. Go. Go,’” Jackson is heard saying in painfully slow, clearly intoxicated speech.
“I’m taking that money, a million children, children’s hospital, the biggest in the world, Michael Jackson’s Children’s Hospital,” the labored voice from beyond the grave continued.

Ex-NBA Pro Javaris Crittenton Released On Bond For Murder Charge

After being charged with murder in late August, ex-NBA player Javaris Crittenton was allowed to be released on bond by an Atlanta judge.
According to the Associated Press, the 23-year-old -- who last played for the Dakota Wizards of the NBA D-League -- was released on a $230,000 bond after Fulton County Magistrate Judge Karen Woodson made the decision Tuesday (September 27), following hours of testimony by his friends and coaches.
She also ordered former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt and others who testified on his behalf to co-sign the bond.
Crittenton is charged in the August shooting death of 22-year-old Julian Jones, who police believe was hit by mistake in a drive-by shooting by the ball player.
Authorities believed that Crittenton was aiming for someone walking with her, who he believed robbed him for jewelry months earlier.
His defense attorney Brian Steel said he is not guilty and the charges are based on faulty eyewitness testimony.
Crittenton was drafted by the Los Lakers in 2007, but was traded in his rookie year to the Memphis Grizzlies.
He also played for the Washington Wizards.

Ex-boyfriend Clem Beauchamp charged with murdering woman, 2 kids (Video)

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A man was charged Thursday with murdering his ex-girlfriend and her two children, who were found stuffed in luggage in a South Florida canal, months after police first called him their lone suspect in the case.
A prosecutor said he would seek the death penalty against Clem Beauchamp, 34, who had been held behind bars since March on an unrelated gun charge while police completed their investigation into the children's deaths.
Jermaine McNeil was just 10 years old, and his sister Ju'tyra Allen was only 6.
Beauchamp also is charged in the death of his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Felicia Brown, 25, who was the children's mother. Her body was found last year in a landfill. Beauchamp lived with Brown and her children before her death.
Prosecutors say the boy was killed by blunt-force injuries to the head, and the girl was killed by asphyxiation. Authorities would not elaborate on how the children died, and the autopsy results have not been released. The mother's cause of death was not disclosed.
"We go from shock and anguish at the horrific loss of life to a determination that the individual responsible for these crimes be held to account," said Michael McAuliffe, the local state attorney, who held a news conference to announce the charges after the grand jury returned its indictment.
Authorities have not discussed a possible motive in the case.
"It doesn't get much worse than what occurred down there that day," said Tony Strianese, chief of Delray Beach Police.
A message left for Beauchamp's public defender was not immediately returned. Beauchamp's attorney has previously said the man was not involved in the deaths of Brown or her children.
Ju'Tyra's body was found stuffed in a duffel bag in a Delray Beach canal on March 2. Jermaine's body was found hours later, a half-mile away in the same canal, which is bordered by modest homes, tiny wooden docks and small motor boats, and dotted on either side with the lush green of palms and other trees.
It was only after the children's bodies turned up that detectives were able to identify Brown -- her children's names were tattooed on her body.
McAuliffe wouldn't say if anyone else might face charges in the case. He said the investigation continues.
Beauchamp pleaded guilty last month to the federal gun charge as part of a plea deal and is awaiting sentencing.
Beauchamp's biological children have since been placed in state custody.

Drake Unveils 'Take Care' Coverart

YMCMB's young superstar, Drake, has come a long way since dropping his breakout mixtape, So Far Gone, in 2009. The free released introduced him to the U.S. mainstream, spawned the hit single "Best I Ever Had", and sparked a bidding war among record label.
In the end, the Canadian entertainer chose Young Money, and it turned out to be the right fit.
Last summer, he went on to drop his platinum-certified debut, Thank Me later, and is now considered an international rap star.
Over a year later, Drizzy is readying his sophomore album, titled Take Care. So far, he's dropped the singles, "Headlines" and "Marvin's Room" ... and this week, unveiled it's coverart.
On the cover, the rapper sits at a plush table, surrounded by gold-framed paintings, gold table decor, a gold chalice, and has gold draped around his next and wrist. It is scheduled for late October.

R&B singer Vesta Williams found dead in Calif. (Video)

Big-voiced R&B diva Vesta Williams, perhaps best-known for her 1980s hits "Don't Blow A Good Thing" and "Congratulations," has been found dead of a possible drug overdose in a Southern California hotel room, coroner's investigators said Friday. She was 53.
Williams was found dead at 6:15 p.m. Thursday in an El Segundo hotel room, Los Angeles County coroner's Capt. John Kades (KAY'-dihs) said.
An autopsy will determine the cause of death. A toxicology examination will take six weeks to be completed, Kades said.
Born Mary Vesta Williams on Dec. 1, 1957, to a disc jockey in Coshocton, Ohio, she had hits with "Once Bitten Twice Shy," "Sweet, Sweet Love" and the torch song "Congratulations," where she emotionally bids goodbye to her ex, about to marry someone else, on his wedding day.
Williams also appeared in movies and on television.
She was a saloon singer in the Mario Van Peebles movie "Posse" and she had a recurring role on the television situation comedy "Sister, Sister," playing actress Jackee Harry's best friend Monica.
Harry tweeted her condolences: "...just received truly devastating news: R&B great, and my friend of many yrs, Vesta Williams ((at)vesta4u), has passed away. (hash)RIPVesta"
Williams diminutive frame belied her powerful, soulful pipes. Her initial success in the music industry came as a background singer for artists ranging from Chaka Khan, Anita Baker and Sting. But she would eventually establish her career with release of her first album, "Vesta," in 1986.
Over the years, she had hits including "Once Bitten Twice Shy," "Sweet, Sweet Love" and her signature torch song "Congratulations."
Williams continued to make albums, and was a regular performer on the concert circuit.
She was supposed to perform at the 21st annual "DIVAS Simply Singing!" in Los Angeles next month, put on Ralph. The Oct. 22 show will now pay tribute to her and another late soul singer, Teena Marie.
"She was really excited about doing divas," her friend and fellow entertainer Sheryl Lee Ralph told The Associated Press, adding Williams was also scheduled to be the subject of a TVOne "Unsung" episode.
The 5-foot-3 entertainer gained weight in the 1990s, ballooning to a size 26. She went on a dramatic weight loss program, losing 100 pounds and getting down to a size 6.
She told Ebony magazine that she began gaining weight rapidly after her singing career started to falter. She blamed her size for loss of her recording contract.
"When I lost my record deal and my phone wasn't ringing, I realized that I had to reassess who Vesta was and figure out what was going wrong," she said. "I knew it wasn't my singing ability. So it had to be that I was expendable because I didn't have the right look."
She went on to become an advocate for the prevention of childhood obesity and juvenile diabetes.
Last year, she released a song on iTunes. In an interview last December with Egypt Thompson on the Web show "The Couch," she said she was blessed.
"She had just become such a brand new person," Ralph said. "This is very hard, this is very hard."
Ralph said Williams is survived by an adult daughter.

Swizz Beats settles child support with UK-based singer Zhanna Andrianova

Swizz Beats, who currently is married to pop singer Alicia Keys, settled a child support dispute with singer Zhanna Andrianova. The dispute centers around a child that Beats (real name Kasseem Dean) fathered with Andrianova back in 2008.
Beats agreed to take a paternity test in 2009, which proved that he did father a daughter with Andrianova.
While the terms of the settlement are not known, Beats agreed to pay Andrianova’s legal fees, which amounted to $42,000. Additionally, it should be known that Beats has been paying ‘interim child support’ throughout the legal proceedings.
Robert Anthony Evans Jr., Beatz’ attorney, tells the post that, "Mr. Dean has never failed to deliver on his responsibility to his children."
Beats currently has four children, three sons and a daughter.

Comment 2 inShare120 HTC Vigor Packs Beats Audio, LTE, But No DROID Branding?

beatslte
Here’s a noodle-scratcher to ponder over the weekend: the HTC Vigor was supposedly going to hit Verizon as the Droid Incredible HD, but files leaked from the forthcoming device hint that the phone may not carry the Droid distinction after all.
Someone who was lucky enough to have a Vigor in their possession managed to rip the device’s boot sequence, wallpapers, and sound files, and shared their findings with AndroidPolice.
When the Vigor is fired up, it runs through the HTC, Beats, and Verizon LTE logos in quick succession, but something is strangely absent. The animation lacks the traditional giant red eye that has graced all of Verizon’s Droid series phones. Considering that the eye has been a strong part of Verizon’s Droid branding efforts, it doesn’t make sense to ditch it so unceremoniously. On top of that, the phone’s notification sounds were also released, and to my dismay there was no “DRROOOOOOID” sound to be found.
It’s possible that the eye is to be added to the boot sequence later, and the sounds weren’t properly dumped, but it looks at this stage that the Bionic will rule the Droid roost for the time being.
Though the boot sequence manages to raise a question or two, the wallpapers that come with the phone manage to answer one. The wallpapers are all 1440×1280 in size, meaning that it’s quite possible the Vigor’s display will run at the reported 1280×720, making it one of the first 720p Android phones.
Unless something gets changed between now and the phone’s release, these files cast quite a bit of doubt on last week’s leaked Verizon document. I’m still holding out hope that it’s real though, if only because I do so love the idea of an October launch.

Birdman Disagrees With Forbes, Says YMCMB Will Reach A Billion Before Diddy

Diddy was, once again, featured by Forbes this week, as one of their picks for the "Future 400" richest in America, estimating his net worth at around $550 million.
The financial mag says Diddy is on track to become hip-hop's first billionaire, beating out heavyweights such as 50 Cent and Jay-Z.
Some of his most profitable business dealings include his stake in Ciroc vodka, which is valued at close to $1 billion, alongside his ownership stake in fashion lines Sean John and Enyce, his marketing company Blue Flame; and, of course, Bad Boy Records.
While many in the hip-hop community are in awe of Diddy's business achievements and others congratulating him, some don't see it that way. They see it as competition ... and even argue that Forbes has it all wrong.
YMCMB's Birdman is contending that he and Lil Wayne should be in the conversation of future billionaires as well.
In fact, he says YMCMB will be the first billionaire brand in hip-hop, period.
"I think Young Money Cash Money would be the first billion-dollar brand in hip-hop," Baby claimed, in an email to Forbes. "We strong and growing every day as a brand and fast. Within the next few years we will be billionaires."

NBA Postpones Training Camps, Cancels 43 Preseason Games

With lockout negations still going on, the NBA has announced Friday (September 23) that they've postponed training camps indefinitely, and canceled 43 preseasons games, because both sides have yet to real a new labor deal.
According to ESPN, games from October 9th to the 15th have been canceled.
"We have regretfully reached the point on the calendar where we are not able to open training camps on time and need to cancel the first week of preseason games," deputy commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. "We will make further decisions as warranted."
There was a meeting between owners and players on Thursday (September 22), but ended without a collective bargaining agreement. So, the upcoming NBA schedule has been pushed back.
ESPN says that both sides still hope the entire regular season, scheduled to begin November 1, can be saved.
While there's been lockout talks before, the NBA has lost games to a work stoppage only once, when the 1998-99 season was reduced to a 50-game schedule.
This time, tThe league locked out the players July 1, after the expiration of the old labor agreement. Owners and players still haven't agreed on how to divide revenues -- players were guaranteed 57 percent under the previous deal -- or the structure of the salary cap.
According to ESPN, the league offered players a smaller percentage during Thursday's negotiations -- a 46 percent share of basketball-related revenue, 11 percent less than they received in the last deal and 7 percent less than the last proposal by players.
During negotiations, the players' union had offered to reduce its percentage to as much as 54 percent, with the stipulation that a mechanism would be instituted to reward the players if future revenue increased, the source told ESPN.
While a date for their next meeting has yet to be scheduled, both sides say they hope to meet next week. If a deal isn't reached by mid-October, real game might have to be canceled.

Russell Simmons Reveals Plans To Buy A TV Network

Over his business career, mogul Russell Simmons has built successful record labels, fashion lines, and even as website (GlobalGrind.com), and now he's ready to take on a new area of business: television.
The 53-year-old hip-hop pioneer tells the Wall Street Journal recently that he's planning to buy a TV network.
"I am going to buy a TV network," Simmons said.
"When mainstream networks say diversity, they mean segregation. 'Let's do some more black TV.' Instead, there's all these cultures that should be more integrated properly," he explained. "Instead of giving Paris Hilton a show, for example, you could do one with Amber Rose. You'd be better off. One is hot, the other is not. Networks are a little slow in how mainstream culture is shifting. There's a lack of integration in Hollywood, and I want to address that."
Additionally, Simmons added that he is working on the project with Hollywood producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, and that an announcement would be made soon.
He revealed his media ambitions last month, in an interview with the New York Post. However, he didn't give much details.
Although nothing is inked yet, Simmons says that now that "you've heard about it. It's going to happen."

The Murder of Troy Davis

Never mind the fact that during the 17th century, when the public hanging of pickpockets drew throngs to cities in England, pockets in the crowd were being picked as the trap door was being sprung … thus disproving the canard that the death penalty prevents crime; never mind the fact that the region of this country with the highest execution rate—the South—also has the highest murder rate; and never mind the fact that the Death Penalty Center’s website states that blacks who kill whites are 16.4 times as likely to be executed as whites who kill blacks … state-sanctioned murder in this country is obviously as American as apple pie.
The controversial execution of Troy Anthony Davis took place late Wednesday night after the U.S. Supreme Court considered and then denied a last-minute delay of execution filed by Davis’s attorneys as they pleaded for time to prepare another appeal. His execution had been stayed three previous times.
After again maintaining his innocence, Davis uttered his last words to his executioners: “For those who are about to take my life, may God have mercy on your souls … may God bless your souls.” He was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m.
All night the TV screen had been filled with live images of hundreds of anxious, emotional Davis supporters massed across the street from the prison, which had been cordoned off by a line of law-enforcement officers clad in full riot gear. A hush fell over the crowd as the execution was taking place. Thousands of other supporters had gathered in cities around the world. If there were pro–death penalty advocates present at the prison they were not being shown by the TV cameras.

Troy Davis execution set to go ahead as judge rejects last-ditch appeal

Edward Dubose, head of the Georgia chapter of the NAACP, describes his visit with Troy Davis on Tuesday night
Death row inmate Troy Davis's hopes of a last-minute reprieve were fading after Georgia courts refused to halt the execution scheduled for 7pm local time on Wednesday.
The state's supreme court rejected a last-ditch appeal by Davis's lawyers over the 1989 murder of off-duty policeman Mark MacPhail, despite overwhelming evidence that the conviction is unreliable. Earlier, a Butts County superior court judge also declined to stop the execution.
His attorneys had filed an appeal challenging ballistics evidence linking Davis to the crime, and eyewitness testimony identifying Davis as the killer.
With less than an hour to go until the lethal injection is administered, Davis's lawyers filed an appeal to the US supreme court, but few observers believe an intervention is likely.
The White House declined to comment on the case, saying "it is not appropriate for the president of the United States to weigh in on specific cases".
At the maximum security prison in Jackson where the execution is scheduled to take place, busloads of Troy Davis supporters from his home town of Savannah came in to register their anger and despair at what they all agree is the planned judicial killing of an innocent man.
Edward Dubose, a leader of the Georgia branch of the NAACP, said it was not an execution, but a "murder".
The protest heard from Martina Correia, Davis's eldest sister, who delivered a statement from about 20 family members gathered around her. She was heavily critical of what she described as the defiance of the state of Georgia and its inability to admit that it had made a mistake.
She pointed out that the state's parole board had vowed in 2007 that no execution would take place if there was any doubt. "Every year there is more and more doubt yet still the state pushes for an execution," she said.
Correia, who has cancer, struggled to her feet in honour of her brother, just a few hours from his probable death. But she exhorted people not to give up.
"if you can get millions of people to stand up against this you can end the death penalty. We shouldn't have to live in a state that executes people when there's doubt."
Dubose gave an account of a 30-minute conversation he had with Davis on death row on Tuesday night. "Troy wanted me to let you know – keep the faith. The fight is bigger than him."
Dubose said that whether the execution went ahead or not, the fight would continue. He said Davis wants his case to set an example "that the death penalty in this country needs to end. They call it execution; we call it murder."
Hundreds of people gathered outside the prison many wearing t-shirts that said: "I am Troy Davis". The activist Al Sharpton said: "What is facing execution tonight is not just the body of Troy Davis, but the spirit of due justice in the state of Georgia."
Larry Coz, the executive director of Amnesty in the US, that has led the international campaign for clemency, said demonstrations were happening outside US embassies in France, Mali, Hong Kong, Peru, Germany and the UK.
"We will not stop fighting until we live in a world where no state thinks it can kill innocent people."
After winning three delays since 2007, Davis lost his most realistic chance at last-minute clemency this week when the Georgia pardons board denied his request despite serious doubts about his guilt.
Some witnesses who testified against Davis at trial later recanted, and others who did not testify came forward to say another man did it. But a federal judge dismissed those accounts as "largely smoke and mirrors" after a hearing Davis was granted last year to argue for a new trial, which he did not win.
Davis refused a last meal. He planned to spend his final hours meeting with friends, family and supporters.
Davis has received support from hundreds of thousands of people, including a former FBI director, former president Jimmy Carter and Pope Benedict XVI.
In Europe, where the planned execution has drawn widespread criticism, politicians and activists were making a last-minute appeal to the state of Georgia to refrain from executing Davis. Amnesty International and other groups planned a protest outside the US embassy in Paris later on Wednesday and Amnesty also called a vigil outside the embassy in London.
Parliamentarians and government ministers from the Council of Europe, the EU's human rights watchdog, called for Davis's sentence to be commuted. Renate Wohlwend of the council's parliamentary assembly said that "to carry out this irrevocable act now would be a terrible mistake which could lead to a tragic injustice".

6 Tre G Signs to Island/Def Jam Records

Jive recording artist, 6 Tre G has signed to Island/Def Jam Recordings. 6 Tre G is a native of Alabama and best known for his single “Fresh”. His single was released in 2010 and features a sample from the 1985 Def Jam Records release, “La Di Da Di” by Doug E. Fresh and the legendary MC Slick Rick. “FRESH”, hit record numbers on music charts such as Billboards, Broadcast Data Systems, Media Base, and 106 & Park. 6 TRE G currently moved back home to assist in building an infrastructure for the music industry in Alabama.
6 Tre G spent much of his childhood in Fayette, Alabama after he was adopted due to his mother being addicted to drugs. His surrogate family influenced him musically during his formative years with his sister teaching him to play the piano and his mother, who was a poetry and arts teacher, sparking his interest in rhyming after suggesting he do so for a creative writing contest in second grade. Shortly thereafter, when his cousins brought him a record from Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh, Tre became fully immersed in beats and rhymes. “I learned ‘La Di Da Di’ because it was the only record I had,” he says. “When I came home from school, I played that. It got to the point where I knew it so well that I just played the instrumental and I’d say the words.”
He proved to be extremely musically inclined learning how to play the saxophone in band class by the time he was 11 and already recording songs. But a visit to Chicago during the summer when he was ten would prove to be a pivotal and destructive moment as he met and joined the Gangster Disciples. Admitting he was “an idiot” from that point on, 6 Tre started his own G.D. faction once back home. Shuttling in and out of juvenile detention centers, he amassed 11 felony charges by the time he was 13. Finally declared an adult by the state of Alabama just shy of his 15th birthday, he was received a nine-year sentence shortly after, when he caught five felonies related to a robbery. Luckily, 6 Tre was productive during his incarceration as he learned how to play the harmonica and trumpet, and wrote hundreds of songs.
Def Jam Records was originally founded as a rock label by industry pioneer “Rick Rueben”. Later, he joined forces with Russell Simmons to form the most prosperous hip-hop/rap label in the world. Exposing artist like Run DMC, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, and now through its digital distribution department, they bring you 6 Tre G.

Kanye West Says 'Rest In Peace' TO the Black Eyed Peas

Are the Black Eyed Peas a wrap? That's the question people have been asking following a performance by Kanye West at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas on Friday (September 16), when he called for an impromptu eulogy of the super popular hip-hop group.
Against a backdrop of fog and laser beams, Kanye wrapped up the performance of his hit single, "All of the Lights", by saying "Rest in peace" during Fergie's verse.
"Rest in peace to the Black Eyed Peas. You're gonna be missed," he said as the verse ended from the track.
Fergie said that the Peas would be taking an "indefinite break" from recording back in July, during a concert in Staffordshire, UK, proclaiming the show "very special," because it would be the "last time we're going to be in England for a long time."
Will.i.am later tweeted a similar message, writing, "The @Bep will take a break after The Beginning (their 2010 album)...just like we did from Monkey Business to The E.N.D. ..but it doesn't mean we stop creating."
Have they broken up behind the scenes though? Maybe Kanye knows something we don't.
Will addressed the rumored break-up over the weekend, saying "@bep will never die."
"maybe @kanyewest was stating the fact we will take a rest for a little bit...but we the @bep will never die...never...impossible," he wrote (@IAmWill).

Nude Photos Of Amber Rose Leak Again, Wiz Khalifa Defends His Woman

Amber Rose was the victim of yet another nude photo leak this week, when a new set of photos leaked online.
While it's unclear when these were taken, some appear to be a apart of the same set leaked by MediaTakeOut.com back in June, which were accompanied by rumors that she sent them to Nicki Minaj's rumored boyfriend.
This time, WorldStarHipHop got a a hold of the same ones, along with some news one ... 15 in total. (See them here NSFW )
The new set, all of Rose, seem to be taken by someone else. In each, she poses on a bed and/or couch, but they are clearly taken by a separate party, presumably her boyfriend Wiz Khalifa. When were taken, and if they were all taken by the rapper, is unknown.
Roseand Wiz had previously explained that the some of the leaked photos were taken from the former stipper's laptop by a personal assistant who no longer works for her.
Since the new photos surfaced this week, Rose has been quiet on her Twitter page (@DaRealAmberRose), where she usually will address gossip and rumors. However, since Thursday (September 15) -- when they were published -- she has been absent from the social network. Her man Wiz Khalifa, who has been saying that he plans to marry her, hasn't.  He discussed the nude photo leaks to Sister 2 Sister magazine recently, in which he defends his woman and even addresses her stripper background.
"I could see if that was what she was doing while I'm with her or something like that, and it was in a disrespectful way, but it's nothing like that," the rapper said. "It's not even, like, the pictures or her past is a raunchy past. She did what she had to do. There's plenty of powerful women who overcame that, and that's what she really is, an example of what work and faith in God, you know what I'm saying, can get you into a positive situation. You can make a positive out of a negative.
Wiz also shut down critics of Amber, who claim she loves all the attention and even does things, on purpose, for publicity.
"The biggest misconception about Amber is that she wants attention," he added. "Everybody thinks that she does stuff for attention and that she loves attention, but she's really, really reserved and shy. She just gets attention 'cause she's dope."
Whatever it is, after seeing those pics, we salute you Wiz!
