“You know how Roc-A-Fella had State Property; I’m actually in the process of starting a new label… a sub-label, basically,” Mack said of the still-untitled imprint that he will head under the Cash Money umbrella.

Rick Ross Escorting Pacquiao To Ring
The Maybach Music takeover continues. Next
Saturday (May 7th) in Vegas, Rick Ross will walk Manny Pacquiao to the
ring for his bout with Shane Mosley. Last week, Manny’s assist. trainer
Buboy Fernandez sported a MMG t-shirt. No word as to which song he’s doing.
Soulja Boy Signing To Cash Money?
“I met with Baby and Slim down in Miami. He’s trying to get me to come over to Cash Money. I still got paperwork with Interscope Records, so I’m just trying to figure out what I’ma do. I got a lot of great options on the table. I’ve been a fan of Cash Money since I was young. I’ve been listening to Birdman’s music since I was growing up. I would have never thought. I’m taking it into consideration. Birdman, we really had a good talk when we met. But I’m still young. I’m only 20 years old. So after I do these two albums, I either have the choice to go back to Interscope and re-up, do my contract over, or I can go down to Miami with Cash Money.”

Freddie Gibbs Takes Shot At Lil B, Says 'Miss Me With That Gay Sh**'
Lil B's rise in music continues, and while he has a legion of loyal
supporters, not everyone loves the Based God -- specifically, newly
signed CTE artist, Freddie Gibbs.
The Gary, Indiana rapper took some shots at Lil B during a show in
Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday (April 27), making sure his fans know he
spits "real rap" ... unlike Lil B in his eyes.
"No f*** sh**. This ain't no Lil B, BasedGod or no f***ing f****t sh** like that up here," Gibbs told the crowd in between songs, a likely reference to Lil B's controversial new album title I'm Gay. "What the f*** you thought this was? N**** this is real rap, n****. BasedGod get the f*** outta here n****. Miss me with that gay sh**, n****."
Immediately following the show, Gibbs tweeted to explain his stance on Lil B, claiming he doesn't have beef, he's just opinionated.
"I don't have beef wit nobody," he wrote (@FreddieGibbs). "I just have an opinion, and ain't none of y'all keyboard gangstaz gon approach me about it in person. Thanks."
Gibbs, who officially signed with Young Jeezy's CTE imprint earlier this month, previously criticized Lil B's I'm Gay album title and his way of garnering press calling the Berkeley rapper "like a minstrel show."
"[The] Lil B sh** was funny at first, but now I feel like it's just a bunch of white people laughing at a n****, like a minstrel show," Gibbs told XXL. "Sh** is wack. I ain't dissin' gays, if you gay that's yo biz."
Lil B has yet to respond to Gibbs.

Ghostface Killah Inspiration Behind New 'Hottest Beer'
Wu-Tang group member, Ghostface Killah, was the inspiration behind a new beer released by Colorado brewery, Twisted Pine.
Their beer, dubbed "Ghost Face Killah", spelt slightly different from the way the rapper spells, isn't endorsed by Ghostface or even associated with him. However, they tried.
Twisted Pine has tried to reach out to Ghostface in an attempt to forge a partnership to no avail
"We tried to get in touch with him, but we didn't receive a call back," GM Jody Valenta told the paper. "We wanted to contact Ghostface to set up a partnership with him."
Valenta said the Ghost Face Killah beer is brewed with five different peppers, including the Bhut Jolokia, a pepper so hot it can be weaponized, and one sometimes referred to as "ghost pepper."
Ghostface, therefore, can't take full credit for inspiring the name of the beer. Valenta clarified that, technically, the brewery lifted the name from a character in the kung-fu film "Mystery of Chessboxing" -- and then double-checked with its lawyers.
Twisted Pine is touted the beer as the "hottest beer this side of hell," and has submitted it to the Guinness Book of World Records to be named the hottest in the world.
The Ghost Face Killah beer is limited to 100 bottles, and will be available in time for Cinco de Mayo (May 5).

Uncle Luke Raises $250 At Fundraiser For His Mayor Run
At a recent fundraiser for his run for mayor, Luke raised a mere $250 from donations. While the reformed wild man maintains that his race isn't about the money and he only started the donations at $5, his funds are mere crumbs compared to those of his opponents.
Other running parties racked in hundreds of thousands more in capital. His competition managed to bring in: Carlos Gimenez reported almost $230,000, Marcelo Llorente reported nearly $370,000, and Julio Robaina reported well over $600,000 in funds.
“It's about jobs and getting new money into Miami,” said Campbell. "This is a $5 campaign where we don't want special interest money."
"Birdman Cops $8 Million Maybach Exelero? is it because of Jay Z?"
In a recent interview, posted at WorldStarHipHop.com, Cash Money Records founder Birdman boasted about how Forbes' $100 million estimate of his net worth was "a low number".
In fact, the label head is so paid, he bragged that he's been on the hunt for a one-of-a-kind Maybach, priced at $8 million. At the time, he said he had to have it.
Well, Birdman seems to have got what he wanted, or is getting it.
He tweeted (@Birdman5Star) two photos of the elusive Maybach Exelero, bragging, "8million 0n a whip all red.blievetht.custom made.ymcmb."
At press time, it was unclear if he had purchased the ride that's shown in the photos, since there are two different ones (a black one and all-red one), and/or if its being built for him.
Either way, Birdman's motto is "get it, spent it," so its likely ones on the way ... at the very least.
Below is a promo video of Birdman's dream car:

No Limit Records To Celebrate 20 Years With Concert In Houston
It's been 20 years since Master P originally founded his No Limit
Records label, and the southern hip-hop pioneer is set to celebrate the
milestone with an all-star concert in Houston next month.
The event, which goes down at the House of Blues on May 1, will feature performances by the label's longtime stars such as P's brother Silkk The Shocker and his son Romeo, as well as its new roster of artists.
New artists on the imprint, now called No Limit Forever, includes Ms. Chee, Ace High, Co-Ruff, Bengie B, Southdown, Kay-I, Propain, Dallas Blocker, Black Don & D, Gangsta, OakTree and more.
The concert will also be filmed for the official video for the upcoming single, "Rock Wit It," a cut off of the forthcoming New No Limit compilation, Family Business.
Tickets are currently available for $45 from NoLimitForever.com.
Master P originally founded No Limit Records in 1990, after running a successful record store in Richmond, California. Eventually, the label earned so much independent success, it led to a distribution deal with Priority Records, where the New Orleans rapper maintained control of his masters, which was unheard of at the time.
No Limit went on to sell more than 75 million albums worldwide, and shot Master P to the top of Forbes and turned him into a mogul.
In January, P's son, Romeo Miller, re-launched the label as No Limit Forever, and adopted a new business plan, releasing digital-only releases.

Wale Explains Reconciliation With Kid Cudi, Says They Talk All The Time Now
In late February, Wale and Kid Cudi publicly squashed their ongoing beef when they exchanges pleasantries on Twitter, but there's more to the story.
The Maybach Music Group recording artist recently discussed how the
two reconciled after disrespectful comments were thrown back and forth
from each other in the previous months.
Wale tells Complex, in a recent interview, that it was Cudi who first extended the olive branch.
"Cudi just called me. He was like, 'Man, I f***s with you man, you know?' We just had a real brother conversation. It was a long conversation, but a lot of things needed to be said," Wale told the magazine's website. "Some of the things that he said hurt and I'm sure some of the things I've said or done probably hurt. The n**** told me what was on his mind and I respect that."
The D.C. rapper also revealed that Cudi is set to make a guest appearance on his upcoming sophomore album, explaining that the unnamed track has a "Camp Lo vibe."
Sometimes, after two rappers squash their beef, they leave it at that with a "you do you, I'll do me" attitude. But Wale says the pair are cool with one another again.
"We talk all the time now. We talk about what's going on in life. The thing about me and him is we always talk about what's going on beyond music," said Wale. "We always used to do that and now we're back on that now."
Their beef first started in September when Cudi took offense to a line Wale spit on a freestyle called "Thank You," in which the DC rapper referenced Cudi's infamous fan assault. In response, Cudi called the jab "wack," and said it was "a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper."
Despite the insults, things have been resolved.

BMI Rolls Out Mobile Version Of 'Live' Program For Songwriters
Based on its successful launch 90 days
ago, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) has extended its program to generate
performance data from live music venues with the rollout of a mobile
version of BMI Live.
The new service enables songwriters to upload concert-venue and set-list data directly from their smartphones into BMI's systems to be considered for royalty payments.
"Many of our songwriters are constantly on the go and rely heavily on their mobile devices to conduct their business affairs," BMI President and CEO Del Bryant explained in a statement. "Being able to enter their tour information and set lists on a timely basis while they are on the road, helps generate more accurate and timely data on live performances, which could generate additional royalties for BMI writers and publishers."
BMI Live is now available to users of iPhones and Android devices. For Apple iPhone and iPod Touch users, the BMI Mobile App may be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store (keyword: bmi mobile). Or, a special mobile version of the BMI.com website has been created to optimize display and function of the site for most mobile users.
The program is available to songwriters who have an active BMI Live account and must have signed up for direct deposit to utilize the new mobile-access opportunities.
BMI Live allows songwriters to input up to six months of their performance data for venues of any size. Both headliners and opening acts may input tour information, and the program is open to all BMI affiliates.
Since its launch just three months ago, thousands of BMI songwriters have registered for the service and logged hundreds of thousands of performances.
With BMI Live, BMI continues its tradition of technological innovation by "offering its members the most accurate distribution of live musical performance royalties in the United States," the company said in a press release.
BMI is a global leader in rights management, representing more than 475,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of music and more than 6.5 million works.

Warren G's Dedication Track To Nate Dogg Hits The Net
As promised last week,
Warren G is paying tribute to his fallen friend Nate Dogg, via a
dedication track titled "This Is Dedicated To You", which features
singer LaToiya Williams.
The cut, which was previously released as a snippet, has the Long
Beach rapper reflecting on visiting Nate in the hospital before his
death.
On the track, he spits: "Reminiscing memories on my way to visit you in therapy, hoping God make it clear to me / On what the plan is, this dirty game is hella scandalous / So this right here, is dedicated to Nate."
As the track continues, Warren G acknowledges the difficulties in continuing on without his longtime friend around, and admitting that he thought about quitting hip-hop for good.
"Regulatin' the era, standing side by side and we down for whatever / Was the days of the past, now I'm looking to the future like / I don't want to do music / But I gotta keep it crackin' / It's a challenge when your homie's talent hangin' in the balance," he raps.
The track comes a little over a month since the shocking death of legendary West Coast singer Nate Dogg, who passed at 41 years old from complications of multiple strokes he suffered in 2007 and 2008.
Listen to the track below, and/or download it over at iTunes.
Warren G and Nate Dogg grew up together, and in 1994, broke into the music business with their smash single, "Regulate", which later received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

Woman Gets Out Of Jury Duty Because She’s Going To See Oprah
Who knew going to see Oprah would be an excuse to get you out of pretty much anything? For one Chicago woman, tickets to see Oprah meant that she could skip out on being a juror in one of the city’s most important trials. That’s right, the judge in the retrial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich dismissed “Juror 137″ so she could go see Oprah live.
Oprah tickets can get you out of jury duty? Is it that serious? Apparently so, as even Blago said that he’s happy the woman finally gets a chance to live out a “once-in-a-lifetime” dream. We understand that the waiting list to see Oprah is like five years, but this is kind of ridiculous, don’t you think? Remember, kids, if you have some homework you don’t want to do, just tell your teachers and professors that you have Oprah tickets. And if you have bills to pay, just tell them you can’t because you have to see Oprah. That’ll work.
Akon Greased Up In His Tighty Whities During Usher’s Concert… WHHHHYYY?!?!?
We are not quite sure why Akon dropped down to his bare undies with every crevice of his body greased up but it sure had us saying. —- WHHHHHYYYYY?!?
Exactly why was this necessary?!?! Is this what people have to do at shows now to keep the audience from walking out OR maybe Akon felt that this would be a better look than pulling under age girls on stage and dry humping them…
Whatever Works for You Akon!!!
L.A. Graff Artist REVOK Sentenced To 180 Days In Jail For Probation Violation
Famed Los Angeles graffiti artist, Revok, made headlines over the weekend, when he was busted by police at LAX Airport on Thursday (April 21) while preparing to board a plane to Ireland.
The writer (real name: Jason Williams) was arrested on an outstanding warrant, which was previously issued for "failing to pay restitution to victims of previous vandalism crimes," said authorities.
His arrest drew support via an online Twitter campaign launched by friends and peers -- who expressed their outrage over his hefty bail amount of $320,000 he was being held on -- with the hashtag #FreeRevok. At press time, the topic turned up thousands of tweets on the social networking site.
The 34-year-old appeared in a a Van Nuys courtroom Monday (April 25) to face the music, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail after a judge found that he had violated the terms of his probation in a previous vandalism conviction.
According to the paper, sheriff's investigators say they are conducting a wide investigation into Revok, and could file further felony charges against him. "As a result of evidence discovered during his April 21 arrest, other incidents of vandalism were found in the county of Los Angeles," said Capt. Mike Parker.
Revok's arrest comes amid controversy surrounding the Museum of Contemporary Art's (MOCA) "Art in the Streets" graff/art exhibition, which the L.A.P.D. have criticized as promoting vandalism, reports the Los Angeles Times.
He is one of the most well-known graff artists in Los Angeles, and once a member of the graffiti crew, MSK (Mad Society Kings). In the past few years, he has been arrested numerous times.
He was popped in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia, after a bombing the city over the course of several days. Once again, he was arrested at the airport, but it was his own fault, because he tweeted that he was leaving town and authorities were there to meet him at the airport.
Revok was also arrested in November 2009 by deputies near the 33rd Graffiti Art Store, where his art was featured and he was a guest. Following the arrest, deputies searched his home and found several hundred paint cans, and a police badge, among other contraband.
The two busts followed a previous arrest the same year in Indio, during the Coachella music festival, which resulted in him being placed on probation.

Serena Williams Is Adding Rapper To Her Resume
SMH… We’re really gonna need Serena Williams to lay off the hobbies and get back on the tennis court.
In addition to her tennis career, Serena Williams has already been putting in work as a nail tech, fashion designer, spokeswoman and part owner of the Miami Dolphins… now we hear she is reportedly taking up rapping!
We’re told Serena hit the studio last week to lay down a few tracks … and is working with a record label owned by Minnesota Vikings star Bryant McKinnie. We’re really hope they’re mistaken. After all, Serena loves her some karaoke.
During the session, we’re told Serena did some work with renowned hip-hip producer DJ Clue … and she wasn’t half-bad.
something though. Bryant McKinnie does have a label called BMajor Music Group and the NFL player has been taking tennis lessons from Serena’s sis Venus so maybe they’re working off the barter system or something.
Still — we want to hear about Serena making it rain on them hoes on the tennis courts… not the Billboard charts!
"Your Android phone is tracking you"
While everyone is crying foul that the iPhone is tracking users, people should be aware that their Android phone has been doing the same thing.
Yes, it seems like Google’s little green robot is also collecting user data every few seconds and sending it off to Google. Data which includes GPS location, Wi-Fi hotspots the phone has encountered, and the device ID. The difference between the data that Google is harvesting versus what is going on with the iPhone is that users have to opt in for their data to be collected.
During the initial phone set-up, you may have seen a message asking for which location services you would like to use.
If you checked off that you wanted to use Google’s location
services, then your phone has been tracking you all this time. Don’t
worry, though; Google isn’t doing anything malicious with your data.
Instead, it is using the information to better target ads for things
near your location. It’s also so that when you do a search for “pizza,”
you don’t get listings in New York when you are in Seattle.
If you are still paranoid about Google keeping track of where you go, you can always opt-out by going into the settings menu and under “Location” un-checking the box next to Google’s Location Services.

Before You Get A Man…
What’s the rush? The older we get the more nervous we become that we’ll always be a bridesmaid but never a bride. As a result, we make hasty decisions with the wrong people and don’t fully respect nor enjoy what being single has to offer. Of course who doesn’t want a significant other to share the highs, lows, ups, and downs of life? But before jumping into one relationship after the next, there are a few things we shouldn’t take for granted while being single.
Just as being in a relationship has its perks, so does being single. While highly different, they’re still things to embrace; because once you get a man, there’s a chance that things will drastically change. This is in no way to sway you from you eagerness to be found by Mr. Right, but it is an attempt to shed some light on the thing s you shouldn’t take for granted ‘right now’.
We Are Begging “Please Do Not Desecrate Tupac’s Legacy By Letting Soulja Boy Star In A Remake Of Juice… Please!”
We just read in Vibe about Soulja Boy remaking the classic Hip Hop cultured film Juice. We are begging the director, Matt Alonzo, to please leave this project alone!:
VIBE: Can you tell us a little bit about the story line for Juice? The legacy of Tupac should not be tainted with a half a*s rapper with no more substance than a dry search warrant. We are not fans of Soulja’s rapping, but we feel that is besides the point. Straight up… the kid is not worthy. Although Soulja dumped on the goons who tried to home invade… his music and lifestyle is not close to the relevance and importance of Pac to our Hip Hop Community as well as A.A. Community.
SB: Basically, it’s your boy Soulja and I’m Bishop in 2011, running around in the streets, man. You know how the movie goes, but we’re flipping it and shooting in Atlanta. I want to show these people my acting side and me being creative—always giving them something new; that’s all. I got same video director that shot “Crank That,” “Kiss Me Through The Phone,” “Turn My Swag On” —my most successful videos. The whole mixtape is the soundtrack for the movie.
Vibe: Did you cast any other rappers in the flick?
SB: Yeah, man. Actually Cam’Ron reached out to get in the movie. Some of the original actors that were in the original reached out too. We’re in pre-production right now. We start filming on the Apr. 28th in Atlanta. It’s going to be crazy. Of course I’m going to have my S.O.D. family in there. We’re juicing up!

Please, please, please… stop it 5!!!
Soulja Boy Says Birdman Trying To Sign Him To Cash Money, Preps 'Juice'-Inspired Film
Soulja Boy recently revealed that Cash Money Records founder, Birdman, has been trying to sign him to their label, which already boasts the likes of Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Bow Wow.
the young rapper was recently in Miami, and Birdman reached out.
"Me and [Lil] Wayne, man. I talk to him, but I'm cool with Birdman," Soulja Boy explained. "When I'm in Miami I be with Birdman. He's trying to get me to come over to Cash Money. I'm cool with Birdman.

I want to bring you over to this family, bring you to Cash Money,' " he continued.
At press time, it was unclear how close a deal was to being completed. However, Soulja Boy is currently signed to Interscope Records, where he's released his first three albums, his latest being 2010's The DeAndre Way.
In the meantime, Soulja Boy is currently filming a 45-minute mini-movie to coincide with the recent release of his new mixtape, Juice, which he plans to debut on BET later this year.
The Rage-direct film will feature the young rapper re-making the classic 1992 film of the same title, in which Soulja Boy will play "Bishop," originally played by Tupac Shakur, but in a updated version.
"Basically, it's your boy Soulja and I'm Bishop in 2011, running around in the streets, man," the rapper explained to Vibe. "You know how the movie goes, but we're flipping it and shooting in Atlanta. I want to show these people my acting side and me being creative -- always giving them something new; that's all.
"The whole mixtape is the soundtrack for the movie," Soulja Boy concluded.
Soulja Boy's Juice mixtape dropped on Wednesday (April 20), and is available for download at MixtapePass.com.
Nintendo Prepping Wii Successor, As Wii Sales Continue To Decline
After recording slumping sales for the second straight year, Nintendo headed back to the drawing board and is set to unveil a new gaming console in 2012, succeeding its fading top-seller, the Wii.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo Co. plans to preview a playable model of the "Wii's successor system" at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles in June.
However, further details about the new machine were not given.
The Journal says the new console is "likely to help usher in the next generation of videogame systems."
When Nintendo debuted its Wii gaming system in 2006, it was an instant hit, outselling Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360. Its motion-sensing controllers broadened the gaming world, and Sony and Microsoft followed in their footsteps introducing motion-sensing accessories for their respective consoles to compete with Wii just last year.
Since its release, over 86 million Wii units have been sold. But sales for the Wii have fell more than 20% in each of the past two fiscal years, and Nintendo predicts another 14% drop in sales for the current fiscal year.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 have each sold about 50 million units since their inceptions.
"The interest in the Wii is falling pretty dramatically," David Gibson, head of research at Macquarie Securities in Tokyo, told the WSJ. "To get people interested again to sell its software, you need to introduce new features or a new item."
The Journal predicts that Nintendo's yet-to-be-named console will feature "a major technological upgrade over its predecessor."
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said in February that as handheld game machines become more capable, living-room consoles will need to offer an experience only available at home, where games are played on large screens viewable by several people at the same time.
But, he didn't elaborate any further on his comments.
Natalie Nunn Says Amber Rose Is Broke, Calls Fabolous A 'Male Groupie'
The beef between reality star Natalie Nunn, and model Amber Rose continues.
During a recent interview with Streetz Disciplez Radio, Nunn cleared up a few things about her situation with Wiz Khalifa's boo, Amber Rose. She claims their beef isn't over the rapper, as many believe, but rather over Rose attempts at following the moves she's making.
Specifically, trying out for a new season of the reality show, "Bad Girls Club," which Nunn previously starred in.
"The reason I popped off at her is because she showed up at Barbados, trying to get on the 'Bad Girls Club' season. Why are you steady trying to do what I'm doing?" Natalie explained. "Everybody was saying it was about Wiz. What the f***? Are you kidding me? Everybody kept saying 'Natalie's mad.' What is Natalie mad about? I couldn't even be mad right now. I can pay all of my bills. What am I mad about?"
As the interview continued, the Oxygen Network star claimed that Rose keeps tabs on her, following her updates on Twitter for one. She even claims Rose's own assistant reached out to her, saying that the model couldn't even afford to pay her, so she quit.
"I look down at my phone, I got one of my homeboys like 'Yo, Amber Rose's assistant is trying to get your BBM. She wants to holler at you.' About what?" Nunn explained. "Ok, he connects the BBM or whatever, in a little chat room, and Amber Rose's assistant goes in on Amber Rose, talking about 'She's steady staying on your Twitter. She's steady worrying about what you're doing. She don't give a f*** about Wiz [Khalifa]. She's just worried about what Natalie Nunn's doing.' Every time I try to tell people what the real is, they point the finger at Natalie. She's the motherf***in' bad guy, right?
"She just recently quit on Amber Rose, because the bitch ain't got no motherf***in' money to pay for her assistant," she continued.
Earlier this month, Nunn and Rose got into an exchange over Twitter, which had Nunn insulting Rose saying the model is dating her "sloppy seconds", while Rose simply told her she needed help. "Just like I was 2 weeks ahead of u sitting on ur 'mans face' ahahaha #teamulikehowitaste," Nunn wrote in one tweet.
Nunn didn't stop at Rose in the recent Street Disciplez Radio interview. She also went at Fabolous, after the rapper allegedly referenced her in a negative way on his last two mixtapes.
In essence, she calls Fab a "male groupie."
"[Some] rappers are straight male groupies, when they don't get what they want they start talking sh**," Nunn told interviewers. "They put me in their songs, they're hating, but the funny thing is they're acknowledging me.
"I look at my Twitter and everybody's like 'Natalie, did you catch Fabolous talking about you on his mixtape?' Why are you talking about me on your mixtape?" she revealed. "The last mixtape he dropped, I was in the last mixtape. How many mixtapes are you gonna put Natalie, who is more relevant than I guess whatever you have to talk about."
Nunn is the star of the Oxygen Network's new reality show, "Love Games", which airs on Mondays at 10pm/9c if anyone's interested.

LIL WAYNE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HE RUNS THE SHOW
“When I landed in D.C. and I got off the plane, this n—- looked me in my eyes and he asked me, ‘Did you drop out of Young Money?’” an impassioned Drake told the crowd. “And I looked him right back in his eyes and I said, ‘Boy, are you out your motherf—in’ mind?’ Man, I want this s— ‘Forever!’”
In a recent interview with MTV, Wayne has finally addressed the rumors, saying that his protégé’s absence from the tour, which also features Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Travis Barker, is indicative of Drake’s workload, rather than his loyalty to his team.
Weezy also went on to state that such speculation only serves to spur him to work harder, and ignore the world’s distractions. “Nowadays if you don’t see somebody in the picture, then it’s ‘Oh, he’s leaving’ and he’s this and ‘Oh Wayne, you’re mad at this person’ and I don’t even deal with it man. I just get my money and call the shots.”
In addition to his appearance on the D.C. date, Drake also hopped on stage at the stop in Wayne’s hometown of New Orleans, where he performed ‘Miss You’ and ‘Forever,’ and shared the stage with the rest of Young Money for ‘Bedrock’ and ‘Every Girl.’
Drake is currently hard at work on his sophomore album ‘Take Care,’ which is expected for a fall 2011 release.
Meanwhile, Wayne’s long-awaited ‘Tha Carter IV’ album has been pushed back to June 21.

The Reason Game Was Detained In Canada
Earlier this week we reported that rapper Game was detained by Canadian authorities and prevented from entering the country. the reason he was sent back is because of his alleged gang affiliation.
A rep for Substance Entertainment Group — the promotion company behind Game’s tour in Canada the tour promoter got a call from Canadian Customs while Game was on the plane on his way to Canada.
We’re told customs informed the promoter that Game would be denied entry “due to new information received that Game is affiliated with organized crime and is an active member of the Bloods street gang.”
The rep claims Game was blindsided by the last-minute red flag — telling us, concert organizers had secured all permits and approval weeks ago to get Game into the country.
Unfortunately for those who bought a ticket to his upcoming Canadian shows — tour’s canceled.
Lauren London On Her ‘Surprise’ Gut Full Of Weezy: “I’m A Woman And Women Get Pregnant”
In the blitz pushing Madea’s Big Family…Whatever, Lauren London has landed her first ever cover, for Rolling Out Magazine.
And while she didn’t make any major revelations about what we want to know most of all – what makes Lil Wayne such a lucky man – she did give readers a little insight into who she is.
And the first thing you should know is that she doesn’t feel any type of remorse or shame about her pregnancy.
“I had a pregnancy that wasn’t private … A lot of people had their opinions about it. They were surprised that I came up pregnant, which was a surprise to me, because I’m a woman and women get pregnant and Lauren comes first before the actress, so having my son was the best thing that ever happened to me.”Lauren is apparently also very humble
“I know that I don’t really give a lot, so people don’t really know how to perceive me,” she acknowledged. “There’s not enough out there to really know who I am. I’ve heard that people think I’m [a] goody two-shoes, the girl around the way, which is fine because those are pieces of me that are true, but I’m human and [she cranked her attitude up a few notches] I’m not going to pretend to be anything else other than that.”
“I don’t even think I’m all that cute,” she said when asked about her beauty secrets. “But I maintain a clean face and make sure I have a mani and pedi once a week. I think it’s important for women to take care of their nails, hair, skin and feet. That’s it. I keep it natural and simple … but when I get some sun, I’m all ready. That [tan] would be a beauty secret if I had one.”
“I’m a great mother because of my intentions on being a great mother, I’m a good friend because I’m loyal, I’m a good daughter because I’ve hopefully made my mother proud, I’m a great human being because I accept that there’s a spiritual being underneath it all,” she said. “I’ve always been a woman of faith.”And if you can’t figure out why Lauren London is still single, she is 100% clear on the situation.
“I’m 26 years old,” she said. “Does any 26-year-old woman have relationships figured out? If so, I want to meet her. I’m still trying to figure mine out.”Flip the page to check out more photos from Lauren’s Rolling Out spread, in which she channeled Marvin Gaye’s second wife Janis.
Stop The Domestic Violence: Dolphins Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall Stabbed Up By Wife
Man, these football wives are something else. NFL matrimony-dom isn’t all it’s cracked up to be for Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who is laid up in a hospital bed after getting into a spat with his wife.
Brandon Marshall was stabbed in the stomach Friday night by his wife and the Dolphins wide receiver remained in intensive care in a Miami hospital after surgery Saturday morning. With Marshall’s history of getting slizzed and domestic abuse there may be a whole lot more to this story. One thing is for sure — it ain’t safe for these two to be together.
Michi-Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested Friday night on one charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. According to Broward County police records cited by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel, Nogami-Marshall told deputies she stabbed Marshall in self-defense.
Nogami-Marshall is being held on a $7,500 bond.
Sources told ESPN.com that Marshall was taken to Broward General Hospital and underwent surgery late Friday night for the stab wound. Doctors are saying no vital organs were pierced and that the Pro Bowler will be okay in two to three weeks.
Marshall’s agent Kennard McGuire released the following statement: “This is a very difficult time for Brandon and his family, thankfully he will make a full recovery. We simply ask during this time we respect his privacy.”
The Miami Herald is reporting that a high-end team source sent a text message saying Marshall is “stable” and the stabbing isn’t life threatening. The Herald also said the Dolphins are now fully aware of the situation.
Marshall, who was acquired from the Denver Broncos last April, lead the Dolphins in receiving yards in 2010 with 1,014 despite only playing 14 games. A hamstring injury caused him to sit out two games.
Marshall, who was involved in the fight at a Denver nightclub that ended with the shooting death of his teammate Darrent Williams on New Year’s Eve in 2006, has a history of off-field incidents. He has multiple arrests for disorderly conduct, drunken driving and domestic violence on his record.
In 2008 he was suspended for three games by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, but the suspension was later reduced to just one game
Lil B Wants $10 Million To Sign
This guy stays in the news daily. The Based God was featured in today’s NY Magazine. In the feature, B touches on the controversial title, GLAAD’s response, his book Takin’ Over and shares what price the major labels need to come up with to sign him.
You’re an independent artist, but if you did go the major-label route, how much would the corporations need to pony up to sign you?
A $10 million deal. Really, though, that’s just for you right now. To put a price on my career and what I do — $10 million is not enough.
So $10 million is where negotiations start. Most likely, it will be higher than $10 million?
Yeah. Way over that. My life’s very important.
3 ways of becoming a Social Media Rapper by using Twitter!
Even-though Twitter is 4 years old you hear a lot of people saying Twitter is dead. I don’t believe that is true. What I do believe is people especially rappers do not know how to use Twitter properly. It is not always about bragging, beefing and trying to be comedian all the time. Nor is about always pushing the next mix tape or track down a fan’s throat. There are other ways of using Twitter instead of always pushing. Here are a few pull tactics that will help you connect better with fans.
1. Respond to both negative and positive responses:
When I look at rapper’s Twitter pages they rarely try to connect with their fans. For example you just dropped a track to share with your fans. Fans are responding either saying they love it or hate it. But you as the artist don’t respond back. It never hurts to say thank you to a fan if they like your music. But here is thing, what if a fan responds back negatively are you going to respond with threats to kicking their ass or just ignore them? I would say defiantly respond back and handle it with care. Who knows depending on how you handle the situation you can turn the disgruntle fan into one of your top advocates!
2. Take time to listen and respond to rap fans:
Every Rapper that wants to make it big or stay big, should be using Twitter search to keep up with the vibe of the fans and how they are feeling about rap over all. And it wouldn’t hurt if you made a one on one connection with the fan through Twitter. Your page should have a lot more @ symbols on it! That shows you are listening and responding to your fans. Remember a caring fan is also a paying fan!
3. It ain’t all about a million followers:
It really isn’t about how many followers you have but the quality connections you make with your followers! What good is it if you have a million followers but you are constantly doing push marketing on them where it is just a one way convo. Remember having quality fans that you care about and that care about you. Is a lot better than having a million followers that you don’t know or care about!
