MOVE-IN
Move-in begins Saturday August, 7^th @ 8am-11am. Your vehicle must be inside the building NO LATER THAN 12:30PM (no exceptions)
Participants will be given (2) two tickets. Your tickets will allow you access to the facility through the loading dock doors (in the back of the building.) Additional people accompanying a custom Car and Bike Show participant will have to purchase X102.3 Custom Car and Bike Show tickets for $6 at the door.
Your vehicle must have less than ¼ tank or 5 gallons of gas in its fuel tank. Vehicles must have their batteries disconnected once they are in place,
Spaces are assigned upon arrival. WE WILL NOT HOLD SPACES FOR LATE ARRIVALS. If part of your team or members arrive late or do not caravan with you at the time of move-in, he or she will not be placed with you. (No exceptions)
YOU’RE AREA
You will receive a 15×15 area to display your vehicle. Security will be provided in the halls and all day during the event. If you require additional security specifically for your vehicle, any costs will be your responsibility.
You will be required to sign a participation liability release form prior to or upon bringing your vehicle to the Americraft Expo Center on August 7^th, 2010
PARTICIPANT/VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS.
Promoting a business and/or service in the show is PROHIBITED. Violating this policy will result in a disqualification and participants are subject to removal from the show.
Displays that are disruptive, objectionable, or inappropriate in nature as interpreted by show management, in its sole discretion, will be removed from the show.
All decisions of event management, regarding by not limited to, display space and vehicle placement will be final and binding.
All models must be appropriately dressed and their attire must be consistent with the local standards of decency, as interpreted by event management, in its sole discretion.
Obscene or sexually explicit materials exhibited in and around your display/space will result in disqualification.
By entering, participants agree that their conduct will comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, codes regulations, and ordinances.
Participants and any other person(s) attending the event are subject to removal from the premises if their behavior is deemed disruptive, unsportsmanlike, or otherwise unacceptable by event management, in its sole discretion.

With two open seats now on the "American Idol" judging panel, all types of celebrity names have been bandied about as possible replacements. Elton John and Justin Timberlake were reportedly thrown out as names on an "Idol" wish list. Pop starlet Jessica Simpson has also popped up as a potential name ready to sign on. And with Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres no longer doling out critiques to "Idol" hopefuls, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has emerged as the latest potential new judge.
Deadline.com reports that Lopez has officially inked a deal to join "Idol" and that the announcement was being kept under wraps until DeGeneres' exit was made public. According to the site, Lopez's manager Benny Medina set up a meeting with "Idol" producers and the singer's camp has been negotiating the deal for about a month. Entertainment website Gossip Cop also reported that a source close to the show confirms that both Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler have been offered spots on the judging panel.
A rep for "American Idol" declined to confirm or deny the rumor to MTV News and only offered "no comment." A representative for Lopez did not respond to MTV News' request for comment at press time.
If Lopez joins the amateur talent behemoth, she would follow in the footsteps of fellow pop diva and dancer Paula Abdul, who brought her experience as a chart-topping recording artist to her critiques for eight seasons.
A gig on the weekly ratings magnet might be a beneficial move for Lopez, who has weathered a few professional setbacks recently. The singer parted ways with her longtime record label, Sony, in February and a tumble at the American Music Awards in 2009 has arguably eclipsed the attention paid to her music. Lopez may also face a $40 million lawsuit after pulling out of a concert in Cyprus.

Rick Ross Makes Offer To Wiz Khalifa To Sign With Maybach Music

Rick Ross recently appeared on the debut of MTV's RapFix Live. Ross revealed that he is hoping to start negotiations with Wiz Khalifa in hopes that Wiz signs with his label Maybach Music.
Ross believes Wiz is a superstar and wants know what it will take to get the PA rapper on his label.
"You know, Wiz, what's happening, this is the Boss, Ricky Ross, Teflon Don. You know we spoke of this in the last week or two, but my question is even more personal that I'd love to ask you right now. What would it take for us to close the deal, Wiz Khalifa and Maybach Music? "I feel like the homie is a superstar," Ross continued. "We discussed this last week. He's most definitely loyal to his team. But like I told him, there's always more to get."
Wiz hadn't responded to the bosses offer as of yet, but he's expected to address the deal when he appears on the latest issue of MTV's RapFix Live later today.
Wiz recently collaborated with Rick Ross on the remix to Super High which also featured Curren$y.

NBA’er Lorenzen Wright’s Connection To Memphis Drug Kingpin Possible Cause Of Murder????

It has now been determined that Lorezen Wright was indeed murdered and now more details are emerging connecting Wright with a kingpin in his hometown of Memphis:

MyEyewitnessNews.com has obtained court documents detailing a transaction between Lorenzen Wright and an admitted associate of accused Memphis drug kingpin Craig Petties. The documents show in 2008, Wright sold two luxury cars, a Cadillac SUV and Mercedes Benz to a man named Bobby Cole. At the time Cole was indicted on drug distribution charges in a case in Atlanta and admitted to FBI agents that he was associated with a drug ring connected to Petties. The cars were ultimately seized by the government.
Wright’s body was found in a field, hundreds of yards away from a road often traveled. His body was behind a group of bushes where black marks remain after days of decomposition. Memphis Police say Wright, a hometown hero and 13 year NBA veteran was shot to death. Detectives spent the day interviewing several people including Herb Wright, Lorenzen’s father. Herb Wright was met by officers outside the Criminal Justice Center. Investigators also spoke with those who saw Wright days before he went missing.

In the years that followed, authorities say, he moved to Mexico and, working with a branch of one of that country’s most notorious cartels, operated a trafficking empire that funneled hundreds of kilos of cocaine and more than a ton of marijuana into Tennessee and other states. The enterprise has been described as one of the largest and most ruthless such businesses ever uncovered in the region.
The story of Petties’ alleged rise from petty drug peddler to international trafficker illustrates how the drug business works and Memphis’ role as a distribution hub. It also shows how an enterprise built on American demand for marijuana and cocaine can spread violence and mayhem from Mexico all the way to middle-class Memphis suburbs.
While in Mexico — a nation wracked by drug-related violence — Petties allegedly was ordering the killings of rivals, suspected informants and others in the Memphis area.
The victims include a 28-year-old man who was shot and killed in his garage near Shelby Drive and Hacks Cross while his young children were in the home. Later, assassins executed two men in a car in Hickory Hill, and fatally wounded a man in an afternoon shooting in a restaurant. In all, the 50-count federal indictment accuses Petties of conspiracy in six murders, as well as an assortment of racketeering charges.

Perhaps Lorezen’s interaction with this shady Petties fellow got him killed. We still don’t understand why these athletes who have absolutely nothing to lose, get involved in this type of ish. F*ck a thug, man!!

A few thousand fans showed up for Owens’ first practice with the Cincinnati Bengals, who signed him to a one-year deal on Thursday evening, then got a preliminary glimpse of what the 36-year-old receiver has left. “He hasn’t slowed down,” quarterback Carson Palmer said. “He’s a guy that’s kind of ageless and he’s still got a lot left in the tank.”
Owens enjoyed the reception — fans cheering every catch and screaming his name to lure him over for autographs when the two-hour workout ended.
“I think this team is special,” Owens said. “I really feel that there is something around the corner for this team. With me being here, (it) has really created a buzz. I think the guys feel the energy.” Owens missed an overnight flight that would have brought him to town earlier in the day, allowing for a proper introduction. Instead, he caught a later flight, rolled in less than an hour before an evening practice and suited up without talking to the media.
He and buddy Chad Ochocinco were the last two to jog onto the field, drawing loud applause. Owens occasionally waved to the fans in appreciation, but played it low-key throughout the two-hour workout.

Freddie Gibbs Calls DJ Khaled’s Music ‘Garbage,’ Rick Ross’ Music ‘Bold-Face Lies’

Rising Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs is known for speaking his mind, even if someone else ain't feelin' it. Hey, it's his opinion right? And, he's entitled to it.

Most recently, he expressed his distaste for rapper Rick Ross and DJ Khaled, saying he feels both should take it down a notch.

Gibbs gave his opinion in a Twitter rant (@FreddieGibbs), calling out overzealous DJs, saying: "Much love to all the real DJs in the game. To all the ones that be tryin to rap and be diddy eat a d***."

When asked by Complex.com who he was talking about, the rapper didn't shy away from answering, specifically naming Khaled.

"Specifically I was talking about DJ Khaled, if people wanna know," Gibbs tweeted. "I don't like what he's doing rapping on records and sh** like that, but you know, to each his own. I'm not taking away nothing that he did in the game or the success that he's had, 'cause he's done his thing and made bread, but I just think that so many n****s are making a mockery of this rap game right now.

"It's like, real MCs doing they thang, putting this real shit down, real lyrics, and can't get breathing room 'cause you got f*** sh** like that. I think that sh** is garbage. I don't like what that sh** stand for."

Gibbs later expressed his opinion on Rick Ross with Complex. While he admitted that the Miami rapper's music is good, he says he simply can't get over the fact that he rhymes about a lifestyle he allegedly never lived.

"[Rick Ross] makes good records, but I just can't support no bold-faced lying on records," Gibbs said. "I guess he's entertaining people. It's like a movie, like 'Scarface.' He can have that fake lane. I'll stay in the real lane. We got a non-fiction lane of rap, that's how I'm looking at it now. So you got that fiction lane over there where they're doing all them. I do the non-fiction, the autobiography, the real sh**."

Despite how it sounds, the Indiana rapper says he has no beef with either Ross, nor Khaled. To Gibbs, he's just stating his opinion about their music.

"I don't have no beef with no rappers," Gibbs tweeted. "Just cuz I say don't feel a n**** music don't mean I got beef wit him. Get off the WWF sh**."

Freddie Gibbs is set to drop a new EP next week, called Str8 Killa. It features production from DJ Burn One, Block Beattaz and Blended Babies, among others, and appearances by Chuck Inglish, Bun B, Jay Rock and more.

It drops August 3rd.

13-Year-Old Boy Shot 22 Times While Riding Bike

Jesus, don’t just take the wheel, repo the car! Theresa Lumpkin is mourning the death of her young 13-year-old son after he was shot 22 times while riding his bike through a Chicago neighborhood.

A neighbor in the 11500 block of South Perry Avenue said he saw a gunman stand over Robert Freeman and continue firing into the boy’s body shortly after 8 p.m.
“They said they found 22 holes in my baby’s body,” said the boy’s mother, Theresa Lumpkin as she was comforted by the boy’s father in front of her house.
The boy’s father said the gunman wore a mask and fired into a crowd. “My son was the only one got hit,” said Robert Freeman Sr. “I don’t understand how no one seen anything.”
This morning, Lumpkin walked down the block to the spot where her son was killed, marked with dark red blood.
“My baby was just lying there. He tried to get up. He tried to fight for his mama. He tried to fight for his life,” Lumpkin said.
She said Robert was leaning against a car with friends when he was shot, and believes her son’s death was case of mistaken identity. She said he had only lived on the block for three months.
She said her son was going to be an eighth grader at Oglesby Elementary School and was spending the summer playing basketball in his backyard and riding his bicycle with other kids.
Lumpkin said he was mowing lawns to make a little extra cash.
Freeman Sr. said his son “had the biggest smile you’d ever see on a child. (It) hurts right now, hurts.”
Robert was pronounced dead at 10:09 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No one was in custody this morning. Calumet Area detectives were investigating.

Despite previous resistance to hop aboard, Kanye West has finally joined Twitter. This comes of his heels of his recent visit to Facebook headquarters. Maybe those tech nerds talked him into it.
The rapper-producer finally joined the Twitter crowd on Wednesday (July 28), and unlike some rappers -- Weezy for example (@LilTuneChi) -- Kanye West used his name instead of a nickname.

"Up early in the morning taking meetings in Silicone Valley," Yeezy wrote in his first Tweet, before posting a follow-up text to correct his spelling. "Lol I spelled Silicon wrong (I guess I was still thinking about the other type silicone ITS A PROCESS!! : )"
In another tweet an hour later, he revealed that his forthcoming album would no longer be titled Good Ass Job, but explained he had yet to decide on another title.
"I'm bouncing a couple of titles around now," Ye said.
Back in May 2009, via his blog site (KanyeUniverseCity.com), Kanye blasted the microblogging service, saying he was too busy to update fans regularly with everyday stuff.

Yes, on Tuesday (July 27), the 'Ye surfaced at Facebook's headquarters in Palo Alto, California, and performed four songs -- off his upcoming album, Good Ass Job -- for employees in their cafeteria.
According to Rap-Up.com, the rapper performed "Mama's Boyfriend," "Lost in the World," "Chain Heavy," and "Sweat on My Face."

At one time, the rapper was on the cusp of being the next underground artist to make an impact on the music scene.
But, after a viral video of his girlfriend punching him in the face spread, his buzz began to fade and he became the butt of industry jokes. Eventually, he was dropped from his label ... and all kinds of weird things took place. The most recent came in May, when Charles released an open letter to Eminem where he channeled his inner-"Stan."
Now, there's reports that says Charles has checked himself into New York Presbyterian Mental Hospital, which he says is because of the stress he's endured for being in the music biz.
If it's true, somehow, Bossip was able to interview the rapper about the whole ordeal.
"My stay here is like identical to my stay in the industry, as far as being the new guy in here having to deal with politics and people trying to control you," Charles explained. "The critics would have to be the doctors and the rounds. So you can say this is like an experiment to see if the industry is really like an asylum or if I was the one bugging. Some say the industry is like high school but it's just like a [mental hospital]."
Charles claims he checked himself into the institution to "peace of mind," after becoming a victim of the music industry and his love of rhyming began to consume him.
"All I wanted to do and still want to do is make music," he explained. "It got to the point where I started talking in rhymes all the time, even in just regular conversations. And music just became me, so I thought it'd be a good idea if I checked into the hospital just to get my mind right."
At press time, it's unclear how long his stay at the mental institution would be, if it's in fact true. Stay tuned for updates...
Charles was signed to Interscope Records after creating a buzz from a slew of underground mixtape. In 2009, his major label debut, The Perfect Life, was slated to drop, but was eventually shelved after being dropped in September following a beef with labelmate Soulja Boy and receiving criticism for trying to credit J. Dilla as executive producer on the album.

Diddy Owes City of New York Nearly $1 Million

Diddy is one of thousands of people who collectively owe the city of New York $1.9 billion, reports the New York Daily News.
The paper says the city plans to seek $996,000 from the hip-hop mogul's Bad Boy Entertainment for illegally plastering posters around the city.
However, a spokesman said the bill was a "bureaucratic error," claiming the money was paid by a partner company three years ago, but the city hasn't updated the record.
Lawyers are reportedly reviewing the issue, said a city spokesman.
The unpaid debts have resulted in cutbacks and layoffs of over 1,000 city workers.
"We are going to find these people," said Finance Commissioner David Frankel. "We're going to turn them upside down by their ankles and we're going to shake them until the money comes out of their pockets."
Others on the list include hip-hop legend Doug E. Fresh, Mickey Rourke's plastic surgeon and Remy Ma's defense lawyer.
Fresh reportedly owes $191,000 in unpaid city taxes; Remy Ma's defense attorney Ivan Fisher racked up close to $500,000 in taxes, a bill that he says he plans on paying; and Vitolo owes $169,000.

Terrell Owens Agrees To Deal With The Cincinnati Bengals

The word around the NFL is that superstar wide receiver Terrell Owens has agreed to a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, following a one-year stint with the Buffalo Bills last season.

According to ESPN.com, an NFL source said that 36-year-old Owens agreed to a two-year, $2 million deal ... and another $2 million in incentives.

Apparently, the Bengals were Owens' first choice, because his good friend Chad Ochocinco is already there. The duo are already being dubbed Batman and Robin.

The Bengals reportedly made an offer on Monday (July 26), and Owens accepted a day later.

T.O. tweeted (@TerrellOwens) about the new deal late Tuesday: "Ocho Uno is coming 2 town!! Hey Robin, Batman will b there soon!"

He will make it official, signing papers when he arrives in Georgetown on Wednesday (July 28) to begin the team's training camp.

Throughout his career, Owens has had a long history of controversy. In Philadelphia, he badmouthed quarterback Donovan McNabb, and was accused of spitting in the face of Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall during a game in December 2006.

Despite the baggage T.O. brings, Bengals coach Mike Brown doesn't care. He's given several players, with off-field issues second chances, and T.O. is no different.

"Yes, people can make mistakes," Brown said this week. "It doesn't mean that they go on the rest of their lives making mistakes. They can get their ship pointed in the right direction. This is a 36-year-old man. He's been through a lot. He's proven as a player and as a person."

The Bengals hope to upgrade a passing game with the addition of Owens. They had NFL's worst last season, ranking 26th. They still managed to clinch their division with a record of 10-6, but lost in the first round of the playoffs against the New York Jets.
