LIL WAYNE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HE RUNS THE SHOW

When his absence from Lil Wayne’s I Am Still Music comeback tour sparked rumors of dissension between Drake and the Young Money boss, the Canadian MC made a high profile appearance on the tour’s Washington, D.C. stop, announcing that he hopes to be a member of the crew forever.
“When I landed in D.C. and I got off the plane, this n—- looked me in my eyes and he asked me, ‘Did you drop out of Young Money?’” an impassioned Drake told the crowd. “And I looked him right back in his eyes and I said, ‘Boy, are you out your motherf—in’ mind?’ Man, I want this s— ‘Forever!’”
In a recent interview with MTV, Wayne has finally addressed the rumors, saying that his protégé’s absence from the tour, which also features Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Travis Barker, is indicative of Drake’s workload, rather than his loyalty to his team.
Weezy also went on to state that such speculation only serves to spur him to work harder, and ignore the world’s distractions. “Nowadays if you don’t see somebody in the picture, then it’s ‘Oh, he’s leaving’ and he’s this and ‘Oh Wayne, you’re mad at this person’ and I don’t even deal with it man. I just get my money and call the shots.”
In addition to his appearance on the D.C. date, Drake also hopped on stage at the stop in Wayne’s hometown of New Orleans, where he performed ‘Miss You’ and ‘Forever,’ and shared the stage with the rest of Young Money for ‘Bedrock’ and ‘Every Girl.’
Drake is currently hard at work on his sophomore album ‘Take Care,’ which is expected for a fall 2011 release.
Meanwhile, Wayne’s long-awaited ‘Tha Carter IV’ album has been pushed back to June 21.
