T.I. Ordered To Report To Prison In Arkansas By November 1

Just over a week ago, T.I. got some bad news from the legal system when he was sentenced to 11 months for a probation violation ... and now, it's reported that he's been ordered to turn himself into authorities to begin the sentence no later than November 1.
The rapper (real name: Clifford Harris Jr.) was released from a halfway house earlier this year, following a seven-month prison term for buying illegal firearms during a sting in October 2007 in Atlanta.
Then, this September, TIP was popped in Los Angeles -- alongside his wife Tiny -- on drug possession charges after being pulled over for a traffic violation.
Thanks to the arrest, he was found guilty of violating his probation during a hearing and received the new sentence. The rapper is now being ordered to report back to Forrest City Correctional Facility in Arkansas where he served his last prison stretch.
Despite having to serve 11 months, T.I. won't have to face the drug charges in Los Angeles. The city's District Attorney's Office announced this week that they will not move forward with the charges due to legal issues with the case.
At press time, it was unknown the exact day T.I. plans to turn himself in to begin serving his sentence.

Bushwick Bill No Longer Facing Deportation

The Geto Boys' Bushwick Bill has been reportedly released from custody and is no longer facing deportation, his attorney said in a statement recently.
In the summer, reports surfaced that Bill (real name: Richard Shaw) was facing deportation to Jamaica, following an arrest in May for possession of marijuana.
Thanks to the arrest, and three prior convictions, Immigration and Customs officials were detaining the rapper and threatening deportation. But now, it seems those worries are over.
His attorney said Monday (October 25) that Bill "back to being a lawful permanent resident of the United States."
He still, however, faces misdemeanor possession charges, but it's unlikely he'll face any jail time. He's currently awaiting a date to appear in court for the drug charge.
Bill is currently hard at work on his upcoming Christian-themed album, The Road to Redemption

T.I. Catches A Break, Will Not Face Drug Charges In L.A.

Although he was just sentenced to 11 months in prison just over a week ago, T.I. is finally catching a break.
According to a recent TMZ report, the rapper (real name: Clifford Harris) will not face charges for he and his wife Tiny's drug bust in Los Angeles last month, due to legal issues with the case.
The District Attorney's Office said they aren't planning to move forward with charges "because, in essence, he's already been sentenced to prison since the arrest was a violation of his federal probation," reports TMZ.
TIP and Tiny were busted on September 1st for possession of a "controlled substance", later revealed as prescription codeine and ecstasy.
But, since he was just sentenced to 11 months for violating his probation, authorities in Los Angeles will not go after him for the charges ... because there were significant legal issues over probable cause which led to the arrest.
Cops claimed they smelled marijuana, which prompted a search of their vehicle. However, since then arrest, no weed was ever booked into evidence. TMZ also said that TIP was immediately pulled out of the vehicle after he made the illegal U-turn and prior to any registration check.

T.I. Headed Back To Jail, Sentenced To 11 Months

TI is headed back to the slammer ... again!
The rapper (real name: Clifford Harris) was sentenced to 11 months in prison during a probation hearing in Atlanta on Friday (October 15), after a judge found him in violation of the terms of his supervised release, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
During the courtroom appearance, TIP was chastised by prosecutors, and wanted him to receive two years in jail. The rapper, however, pleaded with the judge to lessen his punishment ... and instead help him with his drug dependency.
"I screwed up," the rapper said. "I screwed up bigtime, and I'm sorry. I'm truly and sincerely sorry. I don't want and I don't need to use drugs anymore. I want them out of my life."
The judge denied his plea to enter a drug rehab program though, and instead gave him half the sentence that prosecutors recommended.
The violation stems from an arrest in Los Angeles last month, in which T.I. and his wife Tiny were busted by police for drugs following a traffic stop. Court docs said cops discovered codeine cough syrup, ecstay and marijuana upon a search of their Mercedes Maybach, which was stopped on Hollywood's famed Sunset Blvd.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
T.I. was released from a halfway house earlier this year after serving seven months in prison for an October 2007 arrest where he was busted, by undercovers, for attempting to purchase illegal firearms -- including automatic machine guns and silencers
The rapper was able to reach a plea deal which allowed him to complete several hours of community service, speaking to youth around the country, and then serve a year and a day in prison. After his release, he was placed on strict probation, and he violated it last month with the Los Angeles drug bust.
According to TMZ, T.I. has two weeks to turn himself in for this current sentence.

Petey Pablo Surrenders To The Feds For Gun Charges

When Petey Pablo was arrested for a gun at at a North Carolina airport last month, it drew the attention of federal authorities who indicted the rapper on multiple charges.
The rapper (real name: Moses Barrett III) was busted at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport when airport security found a handgun and ammunition in his carry-on luggage ... on 9/11 of all days.
Although Petey has denied knowing the weapon was in his bag and even claims it wasn't his, the Feds believe otherwise.
Earlier this month, a federal judge has issued a warrant for Petey's arrest, and charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm and attempting to take the gun onto an airplane.
Sources close to the rapper told TMZ that he wasn't aware of the warrant until the gossip site called his camp for comment.
Petey has since surrendered to federal authorities and plans to cooperate. TMZ says the rapper was in custody for a few hours on Wednesday (October 13) before being released on his own recognizance.
If he abides by the terms of his release, Petey must report to a U.S. probation officer -- and submit a complete itinerary of any travel plans one month before he travels anywhere.
Additionally, he must refrain from "excessive alcohol" use and will submit to drug testing.
Petey is due back in court in November.
TMZ says that he's opted to use a public defender because he is unable to pay for a lawyer himself.

Black Rob Signs With Duck Down Records

since being released from prison earlier this year, Black Rob has become a free agent ... and just recently, has he inked a new record deal.
Unlike his days with a major label, signing with Bad Boy Records back in the late 1990s, the New York rapper has opted to go indie, inking a new deal with Duck Down Music.
"I always respected their movement and also been a fan of their music," Rob said of the indie label. "If I'm going independent, why not go with a team I respect, and they have always had a true family setting & environment."
With the new deal in place, Black Rob is poised to release his first studio album in over five years, following a four year prison term due to a grand larceny charge in 2006.
Over the past seven months, the Harlem rapper has returned to the studio where he's always felt most comfortable.
Rob call his upcoming LP a "testimony of what I stand for and how I feel. The people have been asking for true hip hop music, and that's what I'm giving them. I stayed away from features. I've been away for four joints, so I feel the people deserve to hear me. When I came home, I went right to work, and didn't have time to reach out to cats. On my next project, you will get that."
The rapper continues, explaining that he's been working with a slew of music producers, mostly up-and-comers.
"As for producers, I have some up-and-coming cats on there. I believe in giving cats a chance," Rob explained. "As far as named producers you may hear a joint or two from Buckwild, Self Service, Bishop, Scram Jones and Pete Rock."
During the course of his career, Black Rob has recorded several successful projects. In 2000, he released Life Story, which has sold over 1 million units and featured his biggest hit to date, "WHOA!" Five years later, he returned with The Black Rob Report, which surpassed sales of 100,000 units.
Again, five years later, Black Rob is readying a new album, entitled Game Tested & Street Approved.
Fans in New York City will get to see Black Rob perform at the upcoming Duck Down VS Blacksmith CMJ Showcase on October 19th at the Le Poisson Rouge. For tickets, visit LePoissonRouge.com.

Young Money To Release Branded Pre-Paid Debit Cards: Report

It's no secret that Lil Wayne's Young Money roster is carrying the torch while he's locked up, but they are doing more than just music ... dipping their hands in all types of businesses.
A photo of what appeared to be a Young Money credit card surfaced on YN's RapRadar.com, opening discussion on whether Weezy's Young Money label had their own branded plastic.
However, the label's president Mack Maine clarified what the cards in the photos are all about, via KarenCivil.com.
"It is true, so make sure the fans and the people that are interested sign up," Maine told the blogger. "It's a prepaid card. We're not starting it out with each member having their own card just yet. It's just pretty much a Young Money card and then we'll branch out to like Nicki Minaj pink cards, maybe having Wayne and Drake cards being like the black cards. You know, just different levels of it. Maybe have Twist and Chuckee for the younger crowd. We'll make sure each member has it as we learn the ropes."
According to Maine, Young Money's business manager came up with the idea, and they immediately began to make it happen.
But for fans who want one, he says there will be perks such as: discounts for shopping online and at the Young Money website, as well as discounts with other stores they are setting up partnerships with, one being Target stores.
At press time, it was unknown when these Young Money pre-paid cards would be available.

Yung Berg Robbed ... Yet Again -- UK Goon Snatches Batman Chain

Poor Yung Berg, he gets punked yet again. This time, by some a goon hailing from North London.
If you don't know who Yung Berg is, he's the rapper who burst onto the scene in 2008 with the single "Sexy Lady," and then followed up with a feature on Ray J's smash hit "Sexy Can I."
Since breaking onto the scene, the young rapper has been the target of goons from all over. First, in 2008, he was robbed of an enormous Transformer logo chain by unknown men in Detroit, and then later, reports of the rapper being slapped by Maino surfaced.
Now, after re-ing up with a new, massive diamond-encrusted Batman piece, a U.K. rap artist by the name of Rowdy-T caught him slipping and alleviated Berg of the piece of jewelry.
Photos of the chain popped up on the Internet this week, and then a video of the U.K. rapper -- wearing the piece in question -- followed, with him addressing the situation with a freestyle, before calling Berg a "cupcake."
"F*** Yung Berg. What the f*** is a Yung Berg?" Rowdy-T asks in the clip before warning Berg about being anywhere near him again. "Come around me again, I'll take your next sh**. You're like a candy store to me dog. You sweet. F***in' cupcake ass bitch!
The circumstances regarding the chain snatching were unknown at press time, but in the beginning of the clip, the London rapper mentions being in Miami on a regular basis. And Berg mentioned being in Miami via Twitter earlier this week.
Yung Berg has yet to address the alleged robbery. Stay tuned...

When police arrived at the residence, they found several broken items -- including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.
