Rick Ross Drops Jeezy-Assisted Single, 'War Ready' :::: #HipHopNews

It's finally here. Rick Ross' anticipated single with former rival Jeezy, entitled "War Ready."
As promised, the rap star delivered the new single on Friday (Feb. 7), in which the pair end their fued for a seven-minute cut produced by Mike WiLL Made It.
"War Ready" appears on Rick Ross' upcoming album, Mastermind, due out March 4. Pre-order it at iTunes.

Jeezy Charged With Battery, False Imprisonment On Own Son :::: #HipHopNews

Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested after turning himself into authorities last Friday (Jan. 3) for battery and other charges against his son.
In police docs, obtained by, the rapper (real name: Jay Wayne Jenkins) is accused of getting into a fight with his son back in September 2012, throwing him through a glass shower door that caused him to hit his head. From there, he allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed, and pummeled him.
The docs say Jeezy would go on to choke his son while saying, "I will kill you". Later, he continued, "I will put a bullet in your head right now," adding, "If I could get away with it, I would kill you."
Jeezy was charged with terroristic threats, false imprisonment and battery last week, and left the same day after posting $45,000 bond. He's scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 29th.
In a statement, Jeezy's camp said: "We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."

Young Jeezy made his Corporate Thugz Entertainment imprint one artist stronger earlier this week, when he announced the addition of Philly rapper Tone Trump.
On Sunday (May 27), the ATL rap star officially welcomed Tone to the CTE family, via a pic of the two popping bottles of champagne during Memorial Day Weekend in Miami. "CTE WELCOMES TONE TRUMP TO THE FAMILY #ITSTHAWORLD," Jeezy wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a photo
Later this week, the new signee spoke to to explain his new affiliation with CTE, which is also home to artists such as Freddie Gibbs, 2Eleven, Slick Pulla, and the group USDA among others.

Young Jeezy's Camp Denies Bahamas Arrest

Reports surfaced this week that Young Jeezy was arrested in the Bahamas on Saturday (December 4), but the rapper's team is denying that it ever it took place.
Jeezy's manager, Demetrius Ellerbee, told MTV on Wednesday (December 8) that "It's not true."
Bahamian newspaper The Tribune reported that the Atlanta rapper was on his way to a show in an area of the island called New Providence, when he was arrested by local officials.
A reason for the arrest wasn't revealed, but the paper said Jeezy wasn't held for very long.
"He was here with us a short while. He passed through the station briefly on Saturday," said Superintendent Ashton Greenslade, an officer at the Wulff Road station. "He was booked in here and taken to CDU (Central Detective Unit)."
A source told The Tribune that Jeezy was simply "in the wrong place at the wrong time."
