This YMCMB collapse has gone from bad to worse at a crazy fast pace. Just little over a week after releasing his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape, which in summary was just a diss tape to Birdman, Weezy is now gearing up for legal action.
Previously, Wayne claimed he was owed an $8 million advance for recording Tha Carter V, but now details have surfaced that he was to receive $2 million upon completion. He has yet to receive any of that money.
Details from the lawsuit reveal that Wayne wants out of his Cash Money contract and he wants to take his Young Money imprint that he built with him which would include artists like Drake and Nicki Minaj.
How the mighty have fallen, I would’ve never thought this would be how Young Money / Cash Money would end up especially since it’s home to two of Hip Hop’s biggest acts. It’s not surprising though, Birdman has a long history of this happening for over a decade with the likes of BG, Many Fresh and of course Juvenile.
Never thought it would happen to the franchise player though.
