J.J. Abrams Offers Clue About Rey’s Parents in “Star Wars” :::: #Entertainment

Since the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans have long speculated about the origins of the film's newly introduced main character, Rey.
Specifically, the debate surrounds her parents. Some think that Leia or Han Solo may be the parents, or even possibly Luke Skywalker. But, director J.J. Abrams offers a clue.

While speaking at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on Friday night (April 15), he revealed that Rey's parents did not appear in The Force Awakens. "Rey's parents are not in Episode VII. So I can't possibly at this moment tell you who they are," Abrams said.
That rules out all the aforementioned characters, while adding to the mystery of Rey's background, who is played by actress Daisy Ridley.
The next film in the Star Wars saga, Episode VIII, is set for release on December 15, 2017.
