Deontay Wilder TKOs Chris Arreola, Remains Undefeated :::: #Sports

Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder remained undefeated Saturday night (July 16) with a TKO win over Chris Arreola at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, AL., during the main event of Premier Boxing Champions.
Wilder, aka "The Bronze Bomber", dished out a beating to Arreola, dropping him in the fourth round and nearly stopping him, but the fight continued on.
By the eighth round, Arreola's face was swollen and bloody with his left eye nearly closed. Once the bell rang, his longtime trainer Henry Ramirez asked the referee to call it.
Amazingly, Wilder broke his right hand and tore his bicep sometime in the fourth round, but still dominated the challenger for the remainder of the fight. After, he showed his arm to ringside media, who said his biceps were badly disfigured.
"It was very satisfying to punish a guy like Chris Arreola," Wilder said. "I straight punished him. I didn't get my knockout like I want, but it was a knockout. I'll take that on my record."

It was Wilder's fourth title defense, and he improved to 37-0 with 36 KOs. For Arreola, he's gone 0-3 in heavyweight title fights, getting knocked out in all three. His record is now 36-5-1 with 31 KOs.
The champ earned a $1.4 million purse in the fight, while Arreola earned $150,000 for the beating.
It's unclear who's next for the undefeated Wilder, who was taken to a nearby hospital after the fight to assess his injuries.
