Kevin Durant’s OKC Restaurant Changing Its Name :::: #LifeStyle

Just three weeks after Kevin Durant announced he was signing to the Golden State Warriors, a local OKC restaurant bearing his name shut down over the weekend for a name change.
Oklahoma-based Hal Smith Restaurants, which owns a majority stake in KD's Southern Cuisine, formally announced the change in direction Monday. "It has been an honor -- and a lot of fun -- to partner with Kevin at KD's these last few years," Hal Smith said in a statement. "We wish him the very best as he takes a new direction in his career."

A new name will be announced in August, but will keep a majority of the menu, including "our famous fried chicken."
Shortly after KD announced his departure from the OKC Thunder, the Yelp listing for KD's Southern Cuisine was attacked by angry fans, despite usually getting very good reviews. So, Hal Smith Restaurants quickly realized a name change was needed.
Durant once owned a stake in the restaurant, but it's currently unknown how much he still has or whether he cashed out.
