Following the controversy surrounding this year's Oscars, over the lack of actors of color being nominated in top categories, we get word that the cast ofStraight Outta Compton is not attending.
Why? Because they're weren't invited, reports TMZ.
Despite being critically acclaimed, the film's cast or producer (Ice Cube) were not extended invites to the prestigious awards ceremony.
The only people invited from the film are the two writers, who are up for Best Original Screenplay.
When asked by TMZ cameras at LAX, Cube replied: "I ain't worried about the Oscars. I ain't worried about none of that."
While he's not attending the Oscars (aka Academy Awards), Cube will attend the SAG Awards and NAACP Image Awards, both off which nominated Straight Outta Compton.
