Following Kanye West's claims that he's $53 million in debt, a fan has started a GoFundMe campaign to help the rapper repay it.
Jeremy Piatt, from Minneapolis, MN, created the campaign, dubbed "Get Kanye Out Of Debut", with a goal of $53 million. He asks that fellow fans to "BE THE MEDICI FAMILY TO KANYE," referencing the Italian family who funded artists during the Renaissance period, and help Kanye.
"We must open our hearts and wallets for Kanye today," Piatt writes. "Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can't be realized. As Kanye West has told us time and time again he is the 'greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time'. Great artists need to be supported financially to achieve their full potential."
At press time, Piatt has raised just over $4,000 to help in Kanye's quest to help mankind.
