NFL commissioner Roger Goodell gets compensated big time. Apparently, he received $34.1 million during the 2014 calendar year, reports ESPN.
A tax filing, obtained by ESPN, revealed that the the commissioner had a base salary of just $3.5 million, but earned a bonus of $26.5 million, alongside $3.7 million in pension and other deferred benefits... as well as and $273,000 in "other reportable compensation."
How much he made in 2015 is currently unknown.
In the nine years in which his commissioner salary has been disclosed, Goodell has made an average of $20 million a year... with a total of $180.5 million. In 2014, the NFL's revenues were around $11 billion.
By comparison, Nike CEO Mark Parker earned $14.7 million in 2014, while the brand earned $27.7 billion.
