Although he's continuing work on his upcoming album SHINE, Wale wants to serve up something for fans this summer -- a new mixtape, titled Summer on Sunset.
The MMG rapper took to social media to make the announcement, revealing that the project would drop on Friday (June 17).
He also delivered a trailer featuring comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who famously collaborated with Wale on his most recent release, The Album About Nothing. "Loved working with you," Seinfeld says in the trailer. "I heard you’re moving out to L.A. to clear your head. Oh, my God. There’s very little clear head out there. L.A.’s fun. A lot of people out there work hard, but the people that aren’t working are partying even harder so stay cool and be yourself. Don’t ever change."

Wale says the mixtape is inspired by his summer in 2015 and will serve as a warm-up to his fifth album, SHINE (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy).
