Former hip-hop mogul Suge Knight is suing Chris Brown and the owners of 1OAK nightclub in Los Angeles for his 2014 shooting.
According to FOX News, Suge filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday (June 27), accusing the nightclub and Brown of failing to provide adequate security, thus allowing one armed person to enter the venue.
Brown was hosting the pre-MTV VMAs party at 1OAK back in August 2014, when Suge was shot by an unknown assailant, alongside three others. He sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen, chest and left forearm... and survived, but cites ongoing health issues since the incident, including a blood clot.
His attorneys say his fear, months after the shooting, led him to flee when he was attacked in his car and ran down two men, one of which were killed, in January 2015. He's currentlyawaiting trial for murder in the incident.
It's unclear how much money Knight is seeking in the lawsuit, but he's asking for a judgment ordering the defendants to pay past and future medical expenses for his injuries.
