OKC Trades Serge Ibaka to Magic for Victor Oladipo :::: #NBA

With Kevin Durant becoming a free agent, the Oklahoma City Thunder has made a big move to bolster its roster and free up cap space.
Last Thursday (June 23), OKC shipped forward Serge Ibaka to the Orlando Magic in a multiplayer trade. In exchange, the Thunder got guard Victor Oladipo, forward Ersan Ilyasova and the rights to power forward Domantas Sabonis, who was taken with the 11th pick in the NBA Draft.
Ibaka agreed to a four-year extension in 2012, worth $48 million, and is owed $12.25 million in 2016-17. By trading him to Orlando, the Thunder added salary-cap room for Durant, who becomes a free agent on July 1, and Russell Westbrook, who is able to hit the open market next offseason.
Ibaka led the league in blocks for four straight seasons, before finishing fourth in the category in 2014-15 and third last season. In 2015-16, he averaged 12.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game -- his lowest marks in four years.
Following the trade, Ibaka thanked "Oklahoma and your wonderful people" in an Instagram post Friday.
