Derrick Rose Thanks Bulls For Trading Him to the Knicks :::: #NBA

The New Yorks Knicks officially introduced its latest acquisition on Friday (June 24): star guard Derrick Rose.
Following a trade with the Chicago Bulls, the 27-year-old appeared at the team's news conference, thanking his former team for dealing him to New York.
"I don't know why they traded me, but I would like to tell them, 'Thank you'," Rose said.
Why thank the Bulls? He says, he now gets a new start in NYC.
"Getting me another start," Rose explained. "I'm grateful to be where I'm at. I could have been anywhere. Not saying all the other teams are bad places, but to be in this market, to be in the city [with] the legacy, the history of basketball. ... I'm grateful. I'm grateful to be here. I feel like they're going to appreciate me a little bit more."

The Knicks traded center Robin Lopez and guards Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon to Chicago on Wednesday, in exchange for guard Justin Holiday, Rose and a 2017 second-round pick.
However, Rose is entering the final year of his contract, after which he'll become a free agent. But says he's hopeful that he can re-sign with the Knicks after the 2016-17 season.
He's chosen to wear the No. 25 with the Knicks, the jersey number he wore at Simeon Career Academy, his high school in Chicago.
