“Finding Dory” Tops Box Office For Second Weekend With $73.2M :::: #Entertainment

After a massive opening weekend, Finding Dory continues to reign atop the box office at No. 1 for its second straight week.
Despite the release of the sequel, Independence Day: Resurgence, the animated Dory earned an estimated $73.2 million over the weekend to top the weekend again, and brings its domestic haul to $286.5 million.
Independence Day earned a $41.6 million opening to land in second place for the weekend box office. The first Independence Day opened with $50.2 million in 1996, which comes out to $77 million in inflation-adjusted dollars, according to AP.

Other wide releases this weekend included the Blake Lively shark thriller The Shallows, opening with $16.7 million, while Matthew McConaughey's Civil War drama Free State of Jones debuted with just $7.7 million to close out the top 5.
