Kid Cudi, Dot Da Genius Delay WZRD Project Until End Of February

As anticipation builds for Kid Cudi's much-hyped WZRD project and the previously announced January 30th release date approaches, the rapper has decided to delay it. The G.O.O.D. Music recording artist's partner-in-crime/WZRD collaborator, producer Dot Da Genius, recently revealed the album's delay in a series of tweets. "Me and Cudi have been working on our debut album and it's almost near completion. We are in the final stages of mastering, but we really had to take time and pay attention to the sonics as this is new territory for us," Dot wrote (@dotdagenius). WZRD is a collaborative project between Cudi and producer Dot Da Genius. It was originally scheduled for release on Janary 30th, Cudi's 28th birthday. But, being a perfectionist, like his label boss Kanye West, the Cleveland rapper and his partner decided to push things back to a month later. The duo are now aiming for a February 28 release for the WZRD project. "We have decided to change the release date. We are looking roughly at Feb 28th," Dot wrote. "Y'all know how Cudi is and I'm the same way. Everything has to be in place and now it is." So far, the WZRD project has spawned the singles "Brake" and "Teleport 2 Me," which will be released to iTunes in the coming weeks.
