Couple Robin Thicke, Paula Patton Owe Nearly $500,000 In Back Taxes

Singer and actress couple, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton, are facing some trouble with the IRS, reportedly behind on taxes of nearly half a million. According to the Detroit News' Tax Watchdog blog, the IRS filed a $492,583 tax lien against the couple in Los Angeles on December 28th. The address listed is a P.O. Box in Santa Monica, California. A rep for the couple tells the paper that they were unaware of the tax bill until Friday (January 13). "They were just made aware of the issue and it is being taken care of immediately," a rep said. Thicke is the son of Canadian actor Alan Thicke, and is also an accomplished singer, who dropped his fifth studio LP Love After War in December 2011. His wife, Paula Patton, is a successful actress, who's starred in such films as 2009's "Precious," 2011's "Jumping The Broom," and most recently "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" alongside Tom Cruise. The couple married in 2005, and have a nearly two-year-old son named Julian.
