Italian NBA pro Danilo Gallinari has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets worth a reported $42 million, reports ESPN.
The 23-year-old small forward was drafted into the league by the New York Knicks with the 6th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
He played in NYC for two season before being dealt to the Nuggets mid-way through his third season as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to the Big Apple.
Gallinari signed an endorsement deal with Reebok before being drafted into the NBA. He has his own sneaker with Reebok called "The Rooster," according to Wikipedia.
Gallinari, in his fourth NBA season, is averaging 17.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. His Nuggets trails only the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA's Western Conference and Northwest Division standings.
