Diddy Planning Launch Of Music-Themed Cable Network

Diddy

Diddy is expanding his Bad Boy empire ... again. The hip-hop mogul is reportedly planning the launch of a music-themed cable network by the end of the year.
Sources tell Broadcasting & Cable that Diddy's channel will be called Revolt, and is set to launch on December 12 (12/12/12).
Former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon is said to be involved in the "well-funded" venture. He previously headed a music channel called International Music Feed (IMF), which was acquired by Ovation TV before being discontinued.
Diddy is reportedly in talks with Comcast and Time Warner Cable (TWC) to distribute Revolt, which B&C described as "a music and music news channel with an urban skew."
One source likened it to the old days of MTV, but catered to an African-American audience.
A TWC spokesperson said the company has had "some discussions" regarding Revolt and Diddy, but did not have a comment at this time.
Diddy has yet to comment on reports.
