Tyga opened up about his break-up with Kylie Jenner recently, essentially saying the media attention "overshadowed" his talents.
Following the release of a new single, titled "1 of 1", the Los Angeles rapper appeared on Real 92.3 this past week in promotion of the song... and talked about his past relationship with Kylie.
"When you're in a very public relationship like that, it's hard for other people to see you differently," Tyga said. "Being in that, it took a lot from me, just, career-wise and everything. It overshadowed a lot of my talents and a lot of things I worked hard for."
He goes on to confirm that he's single, and despite the break-up, says he and Kylie are still friends. And, proving that, Kylie recently joined her ex in Kingston, Jamaica, where he shot a video for "1 of 1."
"I respect you," he said of Jenner. "You respect me. Maybe later on in life, maybe we might come back, but right now, I want to focus on what I need to do."
Tyga is currently readying a new project called Bitch I’m the Sh*t 2.
