Foot Locker is prepping the
launch of a new app, allowing customers to reserve items easier from your mobile phone... and missing the frenzy around camp outs for major sneaker releases.
The app -- which is launching for Foot Locker and its sister companies, Champs Sports and Footaction -- offers the easier way to cop your kicks. Through the latest App update, the Launch Locator feature allows users to easily identify and follow launch procedures at the store of your choice, while the new App Launch Reservation option now allows you to select styles through the App... and if available, choose up to three stores where the App procedure applies, then select your size to start your countdown clock. When your countdown clock expires, you'll be notified via the App of the outcome of your submission.
The new app feature will be piloted first at locations in Tampa, FL during the launch of two Air Jordan Retro 11 Low colorways on June 4. A national rollout is expected to follow sometime after.
