New details in the ongoing Bobby Sa new GQ report, which details the night of their arrest back in December 2014.

Former Epic Records executive Sha Money XL opened up about the evening, which took place at the studio where he was present at the time. He says when NYPD showed up, GS9 associates scattered everywhere... in an attempt to elude police.
"Some turned into Batman, some turned into Spider-Man, climbing the walls," Sha Money tells GQ. "Some tried to turn into Invisible Man and hid between walls."
Some members hid pretty well. GS9 member Rowdy Rebel wasn't found until 7 a.m. the next day, says the report.
In addition to offering details about the evening of the arrest, GQ also speaks with Shmurda himself from behind bars, who talks about how the NYPD had been following him for months, showing up at his concerts and even an appearance on The Tonight Show.
Although the Office of New York's Special Narcotics Prosecutor detailed GS9's alleged drug activity after the arrest, the report says "no undercover sting had interrupted a GS9 drug transaction. No illicit profits had been sought in forfeiture proceedings. The press release that accompanied the arrest in December 2014 mentioned 'proceeds' and 'narcotics packaging.' And yet, defense lawyers say, nothing -- no narcotics inventory, no packaging, no cash -- has yet been shared by prosecutors during pre-trial discovery."
Additionally, GQ reveals in their story that Epic Records went to great lengths to remove Shmurda from the street life, even renting him an apartment in Florida and tried to force him to work from Los Angeles. However, he ended up back in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn where he grew up.
"I think a lot of those kids were forced to be gangbangers. 'Forced' as in: You're a Crip, or you're against us," said Christopher Wilson, part of Shmurda's management team.
Eventually, the label sent a Wilson affiliate named Ball Reckless to try and "extract" Shmurda from New York in September 2014. When he tracked him down at a hotel in Times Square, he was shocked at what he saw. "It was like he was kidnapped by Crips. Blue sh*t everywhere. And everybody was looking at me like: Who the f*ck is you?" Ball said. "Don't get me wrong: It looked like that to me. I mean, that was his squad. But it was a whole bunch of new dudes. People I'd never seen."
After Ball failed to get Shmurda to leave, he was arrested a few months later.
Shmurda is currently in jail, awaiting trail, which is set to begin in September.
