News of the return of the Air Jordan
11 "Space Jam" this year has sneakerheads excited, and now, a new detail about the shoe has surfaced.
According to Nice Kicks, this year's version of the "Space Jam" retro will feature "45" on the heel -- paying tribute to the number Michael Jordan wore in his first return to the NBA during the 1994–95 Chicago Bulls season after retiring.
MJ sported the number "45" in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Orlando Magic, a series in which he debuted what we now know to be the "Space Jam" 11's.
