#YG Announces 'Welcome To Bompton' Debut, Executive Produced By #YoungJeezy :::: #HipHopNews

In two short years, Compton rapper YG has built a solid buzz. He signed to Def Jam back in 2009; broke onto the scene with his 2010 single, Toot It and Boot It"; and then, earned a spot on XXL's 2011 Freshman Class. Now, he's finally revealing details about his long awaited debut, which he's recently unveiled (via AllHipHop.com) the title for: Welcome To Bompton.
It's a nod to his hometown of Compton, with a "B" being used instead of a "C" to reference his ties to the L.A. street gang culture.
"I'm gonna be on some YG, turnt up, street sh**," YG explained of his debut. "I'm gonna do the 'Welcome to Bompton' theme, that'd be dope. I'm turning the 'C' to a 'B,' so n****s gonna be talking, like 'Oooooooh... that sh** gonna be hard, yeah that's gonna be hard.' It's my first album, it's like an introduction at the same time, it's my first album, like my introduction to the whole world."

In addition to announcing the title, he also revealed that ATL hip-hop star Young Jeezy will be serving as it's executive producer.
The pair linked up for the recently released Cardo-produced "Playin," which also features Wiz Khalifa and is featured on YG's new mixtape, Just Re'd Up 2. During the recording process, Jeezy and YG forged a relationship, which evolved into their work on Welcome To Bomptom.
At press time, the album had no release date.
Until then, download YG's Just Re'd Up 2 mixtape. It's comprised of 28 new tracks with guest features from Dom Kennedy, Jose Moses, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, and Nipsey Hussle, among others.
