Phil Jackson Says He Has 'No Intention Of Ever Coaching Again' :::: NBA

Back in November, there was talk that Phil Jackson would return to the head coaching position at the Los Angeles Lakers, following Mike Brown's dismissal. However, management decided to go with Mike D'Antoni ... and talk of the legendary coach returning has been up in the air ever since.
Well, he's not coming back for a 12th NBA title. Jackson told SheridanHoops.com on Tuesday night (January 8) that he has "no intention of ever coaching again."
Sources told ESPN.com that Jackson is the Brooklyn Nets' top target to replace Avery Johnson on a permanent basis... but it looks like it might not happen.
Interim coach P.J. Carlesimo is currently filling in Johnson's place and is expected to finish the season. Then, the team planned to pursue Jackson in the offseason. Asked after the Nets' win Tuesday if Jackson's remark was reassuring, Carlesimo responded, "It's not. That's more fragile than the confidence of the players. I don't believe Phil, anyhow. I've known Phil too long."
Jackson recently got engaged to Los Angeles Lakers executive Jeanie Buss.
