Lance Armstrong Admits To Doping In Oprah Interview

Lance Armstrong has finally come clean, as he confessed during an interview with Oprah Winfrey taped on Monday (January 14).
According to ESPN.com, the former pro cyclist had apologized to staff at the Livestrong charity just hours before meeting with Oprah for an extensive interview, which took place from adowntown Austin hotel for around 2 1/2 hours.
Oprah said Armstrong was "forthcoming" as she asked him, in detail, about doping allegations that followed him throughout his seven Tour de France victories.
In a text to the AP on Saturday, Armstrong said: "I told her (Winfrey) to go wherever she wants and I'll answer the questions directly, honestly and candidly. That's all I can say."
Before the interview, Armstrong visited Livestrong headquarters, the charity he founded in 1997 and has since surrendered. With around 100 Livestrong staff members gathered in a conference room, he said "I'm sorry." He choked up during a 20-minute talk, expressing regret for the long-running controversy tied to performance-enhancers had caused, but stopped short of admitting he used them.
Armstrong's interview with Oprah will air on the OWN Network on Thursday (January 17) at 9 pm ET/PT.
