The contestants of McDonald's Flavor Battle, a national DJ competition featuring some of America's hottest up-and-comers, announced the three finalists this week... who will compete for grand prize and bragging rights in early February.
Los Angeles-based DJ Jena Red, St. Louis' DJ Arty J, and NYC's DJ Element beat out 21 other disc jockeys from around the country, and will come face-to-face with each other in a live scratch and mix in Miami on February 7th.
Arty J, Element and Jena Red garnered the most votes in the intense online competition in which thousands of fans listened to a custom music mix from each DJ on FlavorBattle.com and voted daily for their favorite.
"McDonald's Flavor Battle gives some of the most creative, emerging DJs a national platform to showcase their skillful talent and connect with audiences through a universal vehicle — music," said Rob Jackson , McDonald's U.S. marketing director .
