Drew Brees Surpasses Dan Marino On Career Yardage List :::: #NFL

Although the New Orleans Saints are off to a slow start this season, going 0-2 thus far, quarterback Drew Brees is hitting impressive career milestones.

Brees passed Dan Marino for third place on the NFL's career passing yardage list on Sunday (Sept. 18), after throwing for 263 yards.

Now, only Peyton Manning (71,940) and Brett Favre (71,838) are ahead of Brees on the list, who stands at 61,589 yards for his career.

Despite the accomplish, the Saints fell 16-13 to the Giants on Sunday.

"Well, obviously under the circumstances ..." Brees said, without finishing the thought, when asked about passing Marino on such a disappointing day. "Listen, it's just a great honor to have played this long and to have played with the teams and the people that I've had a chance to play with. And I guess those numbers can stack up."

Brees, 37, could break Manning's record in early 2018, if he maintains his same level of play. He'd be 39 years old then.

Manning, however, holds the record for career touchdown passes with 530. Brees has 432, as of Sunday.
