Broncos LB DeMarcus Ware Suffers Broken Arm ::::: #NFL

Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware fractured his right forearm during the team's win over the Colts on Sunday (Sept. 18).

The team will evaluate the injury this week to determine whether surgery or rest is needed, but they do know he fractured his ulna, the smaller bone of the forearm that is on the side of the arm opposite of the thumb, reports ESPN.

Update: Ware will undergo surgery Tuesday (Sept. 20) and is expected to miss four to five weeks, coach Gary Kubiak said Monday.

Ware suffered the injury in the third quarter, after colliding with teammate Von Miller as they chased down Colts quarterback Andrew Luck in the pocket. Luck would ultimately escape for an 11-yard scramble, but the play was brought back on a holding penalty.

He missed five games last season with back troubles before returning for a productive season and postseason.

In Sunday's game, he didn't record a single tackle, but was credited with an assist and a half-sack. In the season opener against the Carolina Panthers, Ware had 1.5 sacks.
