Kodak Black Gets 120-Day Sentence in Plea Deal :::: #Music

After striking a plea deal last month, Kodak Black was sentenced to 120 days in a Florida courtroom on Monday (Sept. 19), reports the Sun Sentinel.

The 19-year-old rapper (born Dieuson Octave) was facing up to 55 years in prison for a number of charges, including robbery, false imprisonment and fleeing a law enforcement officer. Instead, he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor drug charges -- possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis, and a misdemeanor charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Kodak Black will have his drivers license suspended for a year and have to pay about $298 in court fees.

He's expected to be released from St. Lucie County jail on Nov. 30, but he’s still facing criminal sexual misconduct charges in South Carolina.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office says Kodak is accused of committing sexual battery in Florence, SC back in February, around the same time he was in town for a show. The charge carries a sentence of up to 30 years of imprisonment.

"According to investigators, on or about February 7, 2016, Octave is alleged to have engaged in the sexual battery of the victim at a hotel located at 2120 West Lucas Street, Florence, SC," Major Michael M. Nunn, a spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, said in a statement in August.
