After losing via submission in a lopsided fight against Mickey Gall, Punk earned a $500,000 USD payday. In comparison, his opponent earned a paltry $30,000 (which includes a $15,000 win bonus).
Punk's payday was the third largest of the evening. Headliners Alistair Overeem ($800,000) and Stipe Miocic ($600,000) were the only fighters to earn more than Punk in his UFC/MMA debut.
Urijah Faber took home $160,000, while Fabricio Werdum earned $375,000.
