Thanks to the success of the Straight Outta Compton movie, N.W.A. is seeing resurgence... helping the group score their first top 40 hit.
N.W.A. made its first-ever appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this week... with "Straight Outta Compton" debuting at No. 38. The track sold 35,000 downloads in the last week, and garnered 5.7 million domestic streams.
The N.W.A. biopic has topped the box office for two straight weekends, earning a domestic haul of $111.4 million.
Meanwhile, Dr. Dre's Compton album sits at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 51,000 units in its second week, followed by N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, which jumps 30-4 (44,000).
