Although they've been rivals for years, Burger is proposing a collaborative sandwich with McDonald's called "The McWhopper."
The fast food chain is hoping to release the proposed sandwich on September 21, the International Day of Peace, September 21.
Burger King has taken out full-page ads in both The New York Times and Chicago Tribune, as well as created a dedicated website outlining their full proposal, which states that for one day only the McWhopper would be available at a specially built pop-up restaurant in Atlanta -- the middle point between McDonald's Chicago headquarters and Burger King's Miami HQ.
