MTV is set to honor Kanye West at the 2015 Video Music Awards with its highest honor: the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Ye will be presented with the honor during the live broadcast of the show, which airs from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on August 30, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Past Vanguard recipients include Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Guns N' Roses, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and most recently, Justin Timberlake.
The 2015 MTV VMAs is hosted by Miley Cyrus.
