Weekend Box Office: 'Pain & Gain' Muscles Its Way To #1 :::: #IntheMovies

While Iron Man 3 ruled among the rankings of the international box office, it was director Michael Bay'sPain & Gain that took #1 domestically.
The crime tale of bodybuilders -- starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie -- took first place with $20 million. The film is about a trio of bodybuilders in Florida get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.
Oblivion fell to #2 with $17.4 million this weekend, while 42 comes in at #3 with $10.7 million.
Lionsgate's all-star comedy, The Big Wedding, tanked, debuting at just #4 with just $7.5 million. The ensemble cast includes Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Robin Williams, Susan Sarandon and Katherine Heigl.
Closing out the top 5 was The Croods, taking another $6.6 million, to take its total to $163 million.
