The official unveiling of the next-gen XBOX is coming... May 21st.
As leaked earlier this month, Microsoft made the official date announcement for its long-awaited follow-up to the Xbox 360. The unveiling event's date was sent out to members of the press Wednesday (April 24). It will take place at the company's HQ in Redmond, Washington at 10:00 am PST, and will be streamed live on Xbox Live, XBOX.com and Spike TV.
"We are thrilled to pull back the curtain and reveal what we've been working on," Microsoft spokesperson Major Nelson said in a blog post.
While there's much speculation over what the proposed XBOX 720 will look like and its features, nothing has been officially confirmed.
Since the Xbox 360 was released at the end of 2005 it has sold 76 million units globally and signed up 46 million Xbox live members.
