Ahead of its reveal at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, Volkswagen unveils its new Golf GTE Sport Concept.
The vehicle blends high performance with on-road practicality, featuring the body and interior of a motorsport vehicle, alongside an advanced plug-in hybrid system that's capable of zero-emission driving.
The Golf Concept is constructed of lightweight carbon fiber, while featuring a pearlescent "White Club" exterior and two gull-wing doors
Under the hood is the 1.6-liter TSI engine from the Polo R WRC, delivering 395 horsepower when "GTE" mode is engaged. When not, the turbocharged engine runs simultaneously with electric drive components. It is also capable of sprinting to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds from a standstill.
