Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new, 2016 SL.
The new model features a new aggressive exterior design, with an updated hood, bumper and rear, alongside the diamond grille and sleek headlights. Under the hood is a 362-horsepower V6 or 449-horsepower V8 for the entry-level SL450 model and the SL550 model respectively, while the SL63 and SL65 AMG models boast more power from a V12 engine.
For 2016, and for the first time ever, the SL is produced entirely from aluminum, resulting in a weight reduction of around 140 kilograms.
Other new features include a new 9-speed transmission, Active Body Control system and an improved vario-roof.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz hits dealers early next year.
