Duff, the fictional beer brand loved by Homer Simpson, is set to finally become a reality.
According to the Wall Street Journal, 21st Century Fox, which owns The Simpsonsfranchise, is entering the beer biz, with plans to roll out Duff Beer in the real world.
The beer will first be released in Chile, with plans to follow with more Duff Beer in more of South America and Europe by early 2016.
The company has been consulting with a brewmaster to get the flavor just right. Packaging will be subtle, with no obvious nods to the TV show, exactly as it's presenting in the long-running animated series.
Currently, outside of "Simpsons" section of Universal's theme parks in Orlando and Los Angeles, there is no Duff available... yet.
"I think there's potential to have Duff everywhere in the world," said Jeffrey Godsick, president of the media company’s consumer products division.
