Detox never saw the light of day, but Dr. Dre is about to releasea new album.
According to Ice Cube, the producer is helming the official soundtrack for the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton.
In an interview with Philly's Power 99, Cube detailed plans for the soundtrack, which will include new music from Dre.
"Dre is dropping an album inspired by the Compton movie. He's dropping something on August 1," Cube said.
"It's mega, it's Dr. Dre, it's what everybody's been waiting for," added Cube. "It's definitely a dope record, and he's dropping it all on the same day."
Additionally, Dre will also host his Pharmacy radio show on Beats 1 on August 1.
Straight Outta Compton hits theaters Aug. 14.
