Although there were reports he would decline the offer, free agent guard Jimmy Butler has agreed to a five-year, $90 million max contract with the Chicago Bulls.
According to ESPN, the 25-year-old will have a player option for the fifth year of the deal, which should keep him in the Windy City through the 2019-20 season.
Butler had a breakout season in 2014-15, earning a spot on the All-Star for the first time, while averaging 20.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists a game.
Free agency started Wednesday (July 1), but deals can't officially be signed until July 9.
