50 Cent is calling out AT&T, claiming the communications giant is racist, after it failed to renew its distribution deal with Starz. Thus, lessening the reach his series, Power.
Fif took to Instagram over the weekend, where he offered his feelings towards AT&T.
"Man Im sorry I have to say this, but AT&T is racist they have had issues in the past and here we go again," he writes. "500,000 homes will not be able to view the next episode of POWER."
The cable provider and subscription channel's current deal expires at the the end of July, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"Starz is in ongoing negotiations with AT&T U-verse to continue distributing its 30 Starz and Encore channels and services at a fair and reasonable rate," a Starz representative said in a statement.
"Without a new agreement, the millions of AT&T customers who have chosen to subscribe and pay for Starz and Encore will be at risk of losing these channels and the popular original programming like Power and Outlander, as well as thousands of movies."
Starz relies heavily on subscription fee revenue from pay-TV distributors, such as Time Warner Cable, DirecTV and AT&T. Original programming as been strong for it.Power, which is in its second season, is drawing more than 6 million viewers per episode.
With the series in jeopardy of losing viewership, 50 urges fans to move away from AT&T as their cable provider.
"Change your cable package from AT&T to anything else," he writes. "It's 2015 and these people are still racist. They are dropping all channels that are considered urban friendly. This sh!t is sad."
