The Rock is no stranger to Hollywood, and some time in 2013 he will be no stranger to Reality TV as TNT network reportedly strikes a TV series deal with Dwayne Johnson.
For those who are anti-Jersey Shore don’t be alarmed, The Rock is expected to host a show where he will lead a group of contestants through various challenges that will test their wits, merit, and morality. Reports are indicating that the network has already given the tentatively titled show The Hero an eight episode cushion.
The show may be the front runner for a new generation of Reality TV. The Rock has indicated to the press that the show will bridge the gap between social media and visual media by allowing a unique audience experience that will allow fans to make on-screen decisions to alter the fate of contestants.
The Hero is scheduled to premiere in 2013. Dwayne is expected to produce the TV series alongside his business partner Dany Garcia through Ben Silverman’s production studio, Electus.
