TURN UP THE HEAT: SPOELSTRA WANTS TO SEE A FASTER HEAT TEAM DURING THE 2012-2013 NBA SEASON

Last week during the debut of the Jorge Sedano Show on WQAM, Eric Spoelstra announced publicly his desire to speed up the tempo of an already scary Miami Heat basketball team.
Coach Spoelstra has given credit to his basketball team for their improvements last season, but he feels with the current personnel they have the ability to be a more explosive team. Some of Spoelstra’s desire to become a faster paced offensive unit may stem from the recent acquirement of both Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis this offseason.
A quicker offensive unit attacking the basket can leave an unguarded three point shooter to dish out to if all else fails. A faster Heat team would also mean trouble for teams who run big or carry older veterans on the court.
Looks like Coach Spo is already implementing a game plan for a Los Angeles Lakers team who many believe may face the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals this upcoming season.
As Coach Spoelstra said in his interview on WQAM last Tuesday regarding the Miami Heat and the way they play ball, “You’ve seen nothing yet.”
