Chief Keef is at the center of controversy this week. After laughing at the death of fellow Chicago MC/rival Lil Jojo, via Twitter, he gets called out Lupe Fiasco.
After Lupe criticized the youth movement in Chicago for embracing violence while the city becomes the murder capital, naming Keef as an example and representation, the young rapper took to Twitter Wednesday evening (September 5) in response, calling him a "bitch" while threatening him with a physical altercation if they met face-to-face.
"Lupe fiasco a hoe ass n**** And wen I see him I'ma smack him like da lil bitch he is #300," Keef tweeted (@ChiefKeef).
Lupe would later response, indirectly, expressing his frustration with how the game is, and says that he's contemplating retirement after his upcoming Food & Liquor II album.
"I have spoken peace only to receive vitriol and malice in return. My brother seeks destruction my sister seeks attention paths to nothingness," the Chicago hip-hop star wrote (@LupeFiasco). "i'd die for them...but they'd probably spit on my grave...i still will die for them...just bury me in a place far from their reach...Amin.
"This album will probably be my last... its been a pleasure to have all my fans provide so much love an inspiration for me and my family," he continued. "but my heart is broken and i see no comfort further along this path only more pain. I cannot participate any longer in this..."
The rapper goes on to mention literature as his potential career plans, but doesn't elaborate any further.
Lupe previous considered retirement in early 2008, less than two years after the release of his debut album, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. Obviously, those plans to pan out.
